Match 1: Frums confuses me and does things which 20% of the time would be things I would normally despise, and yet they manage to put something together into... I guess I'd call it cohesive chaos. And I appreciate that way, way more than I do just generic, amelodic chaos.
Match 2: I very much am enjoying the fake Game Boy going on. Apologies to KOS-MOS.
Match 3: This is the vibe that I was hoping for from Paradise Killer yesterday.

I've liked pretty much every art of rally song I've heard, and this one is no exception. I'll be checking out the full OST soon-ish. Great production and synths, and the 80's synth-pop style is definitely a favorite of mine. Very good song.

parvorbital also has some pretty neat synths. It's pretty trippy as a whole, which I guess is typical for Frums. Good production, and pretty interesting composition as a whole, but it's definitely not as good as Remember Me.

Shinji Hosoe's contributions to Xenosaga are pretty much the only Xeno music that I'm not particularly fond of. There are a couple of tracks like Subconscious Domain (Winter) that I do like, but yeah. This one's just ok. Some neat synths used, but it's a pretty dull composition all things considered. ~~Still gonna vote for it considering what it's up against.~~

Yeah, not a fan of Indignant Divinity with the wobble synths dominating the mix. Melody is ok, but nothing really memorable to me. The loop is also incredibly short, so yeah, I don't get much out of this.

The vocalist, TJ Davis, does a pretty great job on this. Really nice, chill R&B song overall. I do wish there was a bit more variation in the composition though (the lack of a bridge is kinda weird).

Sanctuary-RI is super cool. It's one that's grown on me quite a bit since the nomination period. It still is a bit repetitive and long, but the synths and production are good enough to make up for that.

So-so day, with some great tracks and some sleepers.

Weak showings from Hosoe and ujico sadly, but it's ok cause I'm sure they have better songs that will do better. Interestingly, it feels like I'm only here every other day these days

Much 80s. In a good way, tho. Opponent's pretty good too. Tough match.

Not a fan of The Durandal. Is an alright song, but can't sustain itself too well. Indignant Divinity is rather more fun.

Time reminds me of a Persona song without the flair. Sanctuary kinda feels like an interesting song that could go somewhere, but it never does.

Remember Me is awesome, it reminds me of like a dozen other things but still feels fresh with how upbeat it is. I like the first 13 seconds of Parvorbital.
Durandal is competent background music but it doesn't leave much of a lasting impression on me, unlike Divinity which has some solid beeping and booping and goes places I don't expect it to!
I do quite like Time, but Sanctuary is One Of My Favourite Discoveries Of The Contest (TM). I can't get enough of that fakeout slowdown bit first at 1:27.

This isn't my favourite Sanctuary track, but there are days I feel like listening to this more. More than the others, RI feels relentless and cold, a musical hall of mirrors. It's the most aggressively repeating Sanctuary track, which puts its real purpose into even starker relief-- listening to the changes in rhythm, in texture, in layers and patterns, each change holding for just long enough to savour before moving onto the next. Like a lot of tracks I enjoy in this vein, there are details that delight well after the first listen-- the way the notes of the main ostinato seem to start to pan left and right erratically, almost haphazardly, and the way it shifts at 0:41, blurring its tonality a bit, were things I noticed much later. To me, the Sanctuary tracks represent some of Ujico's boldest, most gripping work, something I was thrilled to encounter when I did, at a time I was looking for something just like it.
