It's a good thing I heard this song recently in the Toxtricity Top 50 post-game, because I really thought nothing of it in last year's vgmgg 300! Needless to say, it's my favourite Sanctuary track and favourite minimalist-y song in this year. Still trying to figure out what makes it so special to me!

parvorbital is probably my top Frums music! I'm not expecting it to have anywhere near the strength of MMM Credits, though. And I seriously underrated Durandal.

Its absolutely hilarious that kcfs nom has the TRACK title of remember me instead of game title remember me this time

Frums is so overstimulating!!! I like when they can pull that off while simultaneously having ethereal chill harmonies. :43 is one of the coolest moments in any frums track it makes me float into the air WHILE i am dying by being assaulted with violent bullets that i am just barely not going to die from before i ascend to the next plane to escape from the evil people who are trying to murder me. Tbh this might be my favorite frums track after pictured as perfect (so favorite that is actually vgmc eligible)

The actual thing this xenosaga track reminds me of is wataru ishibashi actually, those particular notes on those constant 16th arpeggio loops and stuff.

Think this is one of my favorite flashygoodness tracks out of the ones i know of?

Mathematical Minimalism!!!! THAT IS SO COOL (this is one of my favorite tracks in the contest. It was just shy of winding up in my top 50 songs ever list, like usually around 60th-51st place somewhere, but sometimes it RANDOMLY jumps to like, 11th place for ONE day where i will like it even more than sanctuary-shu. Today might even be one of those days..!). Such cool sound design and cool hypnotic ancient machinery...everything about it is perfect to me, such a subtle in-between merging of gridded machine music and organic swung ancient cool funk yo man landscape. Despite them being famous and me liking this ost so much- i STILL have never heard a single snails house song that is not part of this soundtrack. Will i be disappointed? Will i find more to like? Who knows!!!

Remember Me 7 Quite nice and soothing when you let the sound wash over you. It's a subdued retro 80s synth sound. Not quite in your face but like your warm nostalgic memory of how the genre sounded.

parvorbital 7 Hehe I'm just imagining trying to play this for whatever rhythm game this is. And going super crazy with the controls keeping up with the drums and beat. I'd probably look like a maniac. Anyway, it's an infectious sound even there is no typical sense of rhythm and melody.

The Durandal 2.5 Something with all the parts acting together was off rhythm and dissonant. And not in a fun way. I don't even know how to describe these instruments, but like the deep drums would hit at these random beats to emphasize a moment but would just take me out of the song. The clicking percussion that pressed throughout the song, yet still not 100% constant, was annoying. Then there'd be these huge whooshes of ambience that come out of nowhere and mess up the song like a bomb going off. I suppose if I don't scrutinize over all the elements, there are some elements of a calming song. Unfortunately I can't space myself out enough and those parts detract from the experience.

Indignant Divinity 8 This is a goated ost. I love when the main section launches forth with great pep and ambition after a solid buildup. It's so full of life and zest. I wish the loop section were longer, but this is a pretty small game so it's fine.

Time 4 Lol the vocals of this remind me of that other song Time Moves Slow. Anyway this definitely sounds like something I'd hear in non vgm radio. It's a slow, smokey dramatic jazz/lofi sound. I thought the vocals ended up being too repetitive and sparce for me to enjoy. I started to grow bored after the first 2 minutes. A longer B section that had greater divergence from the main melody would have helped.

Sanctuary RI 3 I can't tell if this main bouncy boop loop motif is fun or annoying. I think i like the sound of it, but it repeats on such a short loop after 4 minutes it becomes tiring. To its credit, there are some interesting side instruments like a gong, tambourine/jingle bells and maybe a mandolin or some other asian instrument that add some nice variety and texture.

MATCH 1

Remember Me has some bright melodies and chords that I really enjoy!

parvorbital sounded decent for the first 10 seconds or so, but that disappeared pretty quickly. Really don't like the rest of this song.

MATCH 2

The Durandal has some cool chords and overall sound. Feels sort of like a futuristic stealth/infiltration mission.

Indignant Divinity isn't as good as Luna Ascension, but it's still pretty good! Once again, I like the bright melody here.

MATCH 3

Time is really good stuff! Very catchy melody with some good singing and the chords and the synth in the background are some nice touches as well. This is a good example of a song outside my typical VGM tastes that I really enjoy.

Sanctuary-RI is okay. It's not exactly unpleasant to listen to, but I'm not really a fan of it either. But it doesn't get to the point where I feel an active dislike of it.

Remember Me: Synchronized groups of actors dressed in two-tone neon latex maneuver between each other to the beat of the music.

parvorbital: Pillars stack up to the heavens in uniform fashion, each adorned with various unique orifices and trimmings.

The Durandal: Tubular corridors curve past and around each other, slightly transparent to allow passersby to view the flow of traffic in any other tube.

Indignant Divinity: Repeated disobeyed by their subjects again and again, the god takes out their anger on the world, shooting bolts of lightning everywhere.

Time: The bartender coolly shakes a tumbler filled with ice and alcohol, pouring it out smoothly into her customer's third wineglass of the night.

Sanctuary-RI: The wind seems to somehow blow from multiple directions at once, pushing you back and forth disorientingly.
