Of course, I mean because something in the video game made you cry, and what moment it was.

Honestly, I feel video games don't make me cry as much as movies, books, and tv shows can. Even the really emotional games don't hit me as hard for some reason.

The only moment that's ever made me shed real tears is in Mass Effect 3 when Thane dies.

Yes. One of the stories in Lost Odyssey, where the old woman with dementia recognizes the hero from when she was a kid. My grandmother was going through something similar, so it hit a little too close to home.

A few times. Big emotional moments in JRPGs that I'm really immersed in can get me fairly easily - I'm a pretty big wuss when it comes to that stuff.

There was a scene in episode 8 of Umineko where I was openly weeping alone in the room for 25-30 minutes. Swear on my mother's life that's not an exaggeration.

I don't know why it affected me so much, it was the most I've cried in my life.

And then the actual end had me like that too but it wasn't nearly as long.

Uhhhh....one of the bonus scenes in Fata Morgana, I don't remember when exact it unlocked but the scene combined with the music had me dead to the world.

Metal Gear Solid 3: The act of killing The Boss didn't quite get me, but the salute over her grave at the end did.

Elite Beat Agents: You know what level. The fact that this game is here alone is basically a spoiler.

Persona 4: When Nanako dies and Dojima just keeps screaming for them to give her back.

Danganronpa V3: Case 4, when Gonta is just sitting there sobbing as he comes to terms with what he did got me, mainly because of the voice actor's performance as he's barely audible when he says "OK".

Outer Wilds: Both the base game and the DLC did this. The ending around the campfire into the end of the universe as the music swells is just masterfully done. And then for the DLC, it wasn't until after everything and I was stuck in the simulation wondering what to do when I started thinking back on everything and realized the gravity of what just happened.

Tetris Effect: No spoilers here. I just played it in VR and had total sensory overload as the lights and the song overwhelmed me.

There are probably a few others, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

came very close at the end of Death Stranding. Never came close other than that. Don't really know what makes me cry but I've only cried at a handful of media (most notably I cried for a straight 20ish minutes watching Everything Everywhere All at Once)

I cried many times watching the Clannad anime, but I guess that lessened the effect for me when I finally played the VN because it didn't make me cry.

Probably just Life is Strange for an actual cry but Tales of the Abyss and Walking Dead Season 1 came close

Yeah this was rough too.

The thing that destroyed me though was Ep 8 Everyone saying goodnight to Angie. For some reason it got to Rudolf's VAs line read, in combination with the music, and the entire situation just crashed in on me and I couldn't see through tears anymore for half an hour and I just had to stop progressing.

Kingdom hearts and ffx were the only ones.

I actually don't think so. I don't typically cry from fictional stories even though true stories can really get to me.

The ending of ICO and the credit roll with You Were There playing almost got me though.

Some of the ones that were already mentioned but also the ending of Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky always gets me.

Plenty of times. I get caught up in any moment that has strong emotion of any kind. In fact, if I watch a movie that doesn't have a moment that affects me, it was probably a bad movie. So yeah, it's happened dozens of times. Probably triple digits.

A couple Yakuza games, Final Fantasys, probably more tbh. I get teary up when something especially badass is happening sometimes too lol

definitely as a little kid i cried in frustration a few times and i think once when a "friend" "accidentally" deleted my save file. if those count.

for actual story reasons i think just fate/stay night? i was too young when i beat FFX for the first time to really comprehend the emotional weight of what was happening. I haven't replayed it since then, but I could see that making me cry even if I know what's coming.

Oh god I just remembered the Urianger confronting Moenbryda's parents and weeping, also from Endwalker. That one also got me, probably when my sleep deprivation was starting.

Yeah definitely a few times. I'll start with the most unexpected ones.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Probably the weirdest one! The original DKC trilogy are some of the first video games I ever played and they still mean a lot to me, especially the soundtracks. Tropical Freeze features a masterful remix of DKC 2's "In a Snow Bound Land" that very sneakily works its way into what sounds like an entirely new track. About a minute into the song, it hits. Childhood memories came flooding back to me and I lost it. Really a special, personal moment.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - "I'll always be your Zelda." The big reveal/Zelda conversation after the first 6 dungeons is just so good. I don't think this did it to me until my second playthrough, but it's obvious the first time through that Zelda (well, the writers) is being very meta here and talking about the series as a whole. That line takes on a whole different meaning when reflecting upon the series, just thinking about how much it means to me got me. It feels like such a perfect tribute. Another reason I love this game.

Gears of War 2 - That part with Dom. If you've played the game, you know what I'm talking about. Never in a million years expected a game like this to make me cry

Half-Life 2: Episode Two - That ending. Almost definitely the most intense cry ever from a video game; was literally bawling uncontrollably the whole credits. Also think this was the first time a game ever made me cry.

Outer Wilds - the ending, you already know. But not tears of sadness for this one. The campfire had me very emotional, but the big bang is what pushed me over the edge into full blown tears.

The Gardens Between - think the ending here got me too, maybe just very slightly but still powerful with that ending song

Gris - again, the ending. I played this game only a few weeks after my brother committed suicide and this game is all about dealing with the death of a loved one.

Tetris Effect - Not sure if the final level did, but I know the credits did

The Last of Us - the ending of the "Winter" section with Ellie. Damn forgot this one but yeah, incredibly powerful.

There are possibly (still) more I'm not thinking of.

Thats what I get for slamming through the entire thing in 3 days playing nonstop other than eating and sleeping.

Oh shit, the Dead Island trailer also hit me in a similar manner.

I've cried every time I've watched a particular part of Klonoa 1.

Sometimes I'll be in a really good mood and think, "I bet I can watch that part of Klonoa, on youtube, right now, and not cry," and I'm wrong, I cry anyway. (UPDATE: Yep just watched it, face covered in tears.)

The same part in the Wii Remake also makes me cry, but not quite as much.

I cried at a part in Klonoa 2 the first time I saw it, but not on future playthroughs.

I also cry a bit, at a few parts of FF7 Remake. Just a tear or two.

Also Outer Wilds maybe, can't quite remember. The music definitely makes me emotional.
