So, I think I get where this is going.

I was confused how Angies existence could be explained to be non magical, but after the very exciting scene with lambda delta it seems that maybe Angies life is the reality where witches are real. The reason she wouldnt exist if Battler wins is because she lives in the timeline where there are witches. If witches arent real she doesnt exist.

Inb4 that isnt it and it says so in 10 minutes

Once again feeling like I am missing cultural understanding here. This whole Angie school scene is bizarre. I can't tell if I am supposed to find an entire class forcing her into writing an apology for hours mysteriously odd or just normal abusive.

I did think it dragged, but all in all I did like this Angie stuff, and think it gets a bad wrap.

I think it's just the eagerness to get back to the island and see how part 1 of the game ends that causes it to get a slightly frustrating.

The ange school scene is one of my favorite scenes in the whole game, despite how awful and depressing it is.

There's that, but you're actually also missing a little bit of Higurashi context on this one. The school Ange attends also appears in Higurashi, where it is similarly awful. Excessively so, true.

You actually might end up liking the 2nd half of the series more then because it gets progressively less about the stuff you think isn't interesting.

He was one before he started writing and has gone on record saying he has a LOT of issues with them and that how he wrote it is pretty much how they are in Japan.

I .... don't think I buy this? Rosa has been F-tier mother by all accounts, but I don't know if I buy this scene where Rosa says she hates Maria and has never loved her is real. It doesn't mesh with previous scenes of Rosa buying Maria presents. Nothing in those scenes indicated they were presents purely for societal approval.

So this is either plot hole or not reality, and this game has been pretty consistently not falling into plot holes.

And now we get the episode 1 Maria back.

What is Beatrice? Is Beatrice the evil inside people? Is it their inner thoughts that drive them mad? It seems fairly obvious that in the first game Maria was directly responsible for at least some of the murders at this point.

I was a little startled at first, but George choosing to sacrifice everyone is oddly... sensible? Given that he was going to have to fight everyone anyways after his extremely unpopular marriage decision this removes the barriers immediately.

I think my problem with it is it is obvious nonsense, which means the longer it goes on (The anime fights and everything) the more it feels like it is wasting my time because obviously none of this is true. There wasn't actually a rational discussion of boxing power levels.

At least with some of the Angie stuff it probably is schizophrenia, or her imagination or something, but maybe it is real, and the shred of reality keeps it interesting.

Hmmmm there's something I really have been wanting to comment for quite awhile but I've been holding back because a later Episode more or less addresses it directly so it could be considered a spoiler.

I guess what I'll instead say is you are asking the right questions right now, or more accurately, at least are close to asking the right questions. I won't elaborate for now, but do consider what I mean by that.

Episode 4 >>>>>>>>>>>>> The other episodes. Even the bad part was only bad for a bit at the end because it dragged too long.

....7AM for Metal Gear Rising.

Sounds like Umineko to me. Although, I'm actually not sure what you will think of the later episodes.
