I mean, I can understand how biological sex can play a role in physical advantage(though I doubt for skateboarding), but theres so few transwomen in athletic competition that the issue rarely comes up. Perhaps the competition committee for these sports should investigate the issue more thoroughly and come up with a fair way to balance their sport if unfair advantages are indeed being utilized to win

Basically, all the pro trans women competing with cis women people will deny any possibility of even a very minor physical advantage and call anyone who points out actually advantages transphobes.

For the record, I'm all for trans women competing with cis women and seeing what happens, but I've also been called a transphobes and a bigot for just saying "I think trans women have a physical advantage over cis women."

Maybe if you're on the pro trans women competing with cis women side you should argue in good faith and acknowledge that someone who is taller and has more broad shoulders will generally have an advantage in athletics over someone who isn't as tall or broad. Of course, this also depends on the sport that is being played and the level of competition be this pro, amateur, collegiate, or high school.

There is a lot of room for discussion here, but these topics tend to get pretty toxic.

How would it not effect that? Skateboarding is a sport. Being stronger will generally make you better.

Please cite the scientific studies, that have been peer reviewed, that show the advantage they have.

"Common sense" doesn't fly. Common sense said plenty about non whites, women and gay people etc at one point.

Real talk. Can someone explain what advantages sex gives in skateboarding?

Like, who is the best female skateboarder? What even is the goal of the sport?

I think that would help besides saying, Trust me. The gap is huge!

not sure if this is what you were looking for but the basis of the study is there is a gap between performance and world records based on sex, the study basically goes deeper into how big that performance gap is

i don't think strength is necessarily the key factor, but i think foot size, leg shape, and things like that seem to be. it's a matter of board control, and even something as simple as how men squat vs. how women squat can change everything when it comes to pop and getting the board to do what you want

All I can find is that she's skated for 6-7 years. When she transitioned or what her prior name was doesn't seem to be available.

The internet definitely does this. I don't skateboard so I don't know for sure what biological differences could be in play but it seems like a pretty athletic sport. I doubt top tier women skateboarders can hit the same tricks that top tier men skateboarders hit.

That Sky Brown girl seems pretty insane though.

Sore loser is mad she didn't train harder, what a pathetic transphobe. This is like blaming losing to that woman on jeopardy because of her being trans, all it means is that you think cis women will 100% of the time lose to any other group. It's pathetic that we keep letting these bigots get the spotlight to spew vitriol just because they aren't training hard enough to be the best for once.

Runner A and runner B run to first base. They both have the same time. But A has perfect running form, while B has lousy form. Which one do you pick?

You take B because you can coach up B's form and end produce a better result than A, who has already perfected their form and has hit a ceiling.

If your stance is to be scientific then you should refrain from any sort of judgment until provided with evidence.

I never called her bad so I dont know where you got that from. I just said she should work harder than ever. If you think someone has an advantage over you then why wouldnt you do everything you possibly could to try and close that distance and even surpass them?

Competed 3 times against trans women, claims to have lost tens of thousands in prize money when she only got 2nd place twice. So she's not even consistently that good. What's her excuse the rest of the times she's lost against only cis women?
