It is superficial because it's made clear he is only interested in her as a person. Which I understand is hard to grasp for some people. He obviously hasn't been in a relationship with any actual minors so thinking it's suspicious can only be because of preconceived notions and associating the risk with actual predators... you know, the same way one can have preconceived notions and associate risk with men in general, the thing you're claiming labeling negative traits toxic masculinity and patriarchy does.

I still disagree. In the same way someone who is mean to service workers implies things, dating someone with a condition that makes them look eight will have implications.

I dont see the similarity. With using loaded terms. Personally.

That is exactly what they do, along with actual rape jokes. I personally think they are crude and classless and am not for them at all but they are still popular and are jokes. Meanwhile you're dying on the hill of going to bat for traditionalists, conservatives, and bigots, asking people to change their language to accommodate them in an effort to be more persuasive. Are you changing your language when you tell people sexual assault jokes are an issue? Are you trying to accommodate them, thinking of better ways to express your message instead of shaming them for what they enjoy? Or do you only care about being correct?

I will change how I say something if I feel others are misinterpreting, yes.

But Im not persuading anyone right now, Im stating my own opinion.
