So I'm on ER's official discord and have been helping tons of people today. Though it's fairly been fun and positive, there have been some annoying things happening.

There are people asking for help via coop but they don't have any Remedy Fingers ready to summon for help. And then they have to go craft and buy them. Like, if you're gonna ask for help be sure to be ready and not make people wait.

Just got through the godskin duo fight. I kind of cruised past it since I was able to summon the npc dude bernhalh alongside my good ol' mimic tear, but I heard this was one of those fights that was tweaked with a patch. Ah well, they dead and I'm not.

I spent way too long on that Red Dog of Radagon spawn fight up on the Moonlight Altar. God, those things shit me as a mage.

I never bother with the slightly challenging enemies in the overworld. Red dog, giants (although they're easy now), squid thing, lobsters, dragons etc. I'll just keep on moving.

I was up sick all night with what I think is food poisoning and all my feverish ass could think was "I need to cast O Flame, Cleanse me"

Im still wasting tons of time in this game and professing slowly.

I'm over 80 hours in and barely exploring Nokron so I'm right there with ya lol

Really scared me with a 'Failed to Load Save' error message there.

Luckily a reboot fixed it.

Yeah, I tend to be a slowpoke myself with a lot of games. My best friend can clear games extremely fast, like with elden ring I think he told me his save has like 90 something hours total.

I am just getting to what I think is the final area of the game, lmao.

I want to say a good bit of that is idling (falling asleep on the game and when I finally wake up to quit out and save those hours is added to the total, I went to go eat something, went to take a break and left the game on while I am on the desktop browsing/posting/watching videos etc.), but yeah.....took my sweet time with this one and did almost every single dungeon n' fought every single world boss I came across.

One things for sure....I got my moneys worth.

My game time is inflated too. I've been working from home a lot this past month and there are days where I have left the game on all day while I worked, only playing occasionally. I think I'm at about 190 hrs. I'd guess "only" about half of that is actual game time lol.

The last boss is kicking my ass currently. Im finding it waayy harder than Melina

• Fixed a bug in the balance adjustment of the boss "Starscourge Radahn" in update 1.03, in which the power of some attacks was unintentionally reduced.

So his damage is back. His weapon hitbox and spell/arrow tracking should still be nerfed though but idk. One way to test is to try to dodge his purple homing arrows while riding on torrent. It was really difficult to do prior to 1.03 but made much easier after..

I have over 140 hours on this character. I've explored virtually every aspect of the game up to Leyndell. I haven't gone into the capital proper yet.

Working on my INT playthrough. I didn't notice when I did my STR playthrough but there aren't many INT scaling weapons (excluding staves) near the beginning of the game. I was looking for a sword to use when stuff is really close to me. As a side note Carian Slicer is a great spell but not what I want to use for a sword. I finished all of East and West Limgrave, Stormveil and Weeping Peninsula.

The first int scaling weapon I saw in the game was the Crystal Sword in Liurnia Lake at the Alburneric Village. A lot of people rush for Moonveil Katana, which is in Caelid.

You can also go down to Siofra early to get the Clayman's spear.

I mix up the underground zones. Is Siofra the one with the elevator in Mistwood? If so I'll just run through killing the guys because there's a bunch of them between where the elevator drops you off and the main lower level area.

Do you eventually get stuck following through with an ending path or can you basically choose which one at the end based on a final action (assuming you met the criteria)?

I was looking for Faith Weapons and have them in bunches now..

Winged Scythe
Envoys Horn (large and smol)
Coded Sword

Plus some upgraded Estoc Blade I dumped a Faith Art on a while ago.

Winged Scythe is nice for riding and Coded Sword is decently fast .. haven't used it against many guys with shields yet.

Yeah exactly. There are tons of them and they are quite slow so as long as you're patient you can kill them easily pretty early. You also get I think two spells right at the start.

I'm not 100 percent sure on this answer... Most of them seem to be "use this item after you beat the last boss to trigger X ending" or "after you beat the last boss you have to do this action to trigger a different ending"

I think there's one that might lock you in but i'm not sure. It involves the sewers I think?

I'm also not sure, but I think it locks you in but you can get out of it.

I'd say 80% of the people I'm randomly cooping with are melee fighters. I'm not meeting much magic people.

I would like to finish the volcano manor sidequests but looks like one of the marks is near an endgame area. I haven't even reached the capital.

Maaan, I do like to complete quests but I also don't want to go out of order in my first playthrough. I like to follow the obvious path until I finish an area.

All you get from that one is a gesture, an armor set, and a whip you can also get from another quest, if those sound important to you then hold out on killing Rykard, if not then just go kill him

I have to give respect to From hiding another major area behind a boss fight that was off the beaten path in an area that was also hidden behind a side quest.

Can't imagine this sort of stuff in a typical AAA game.

I think I might be slightly overleveled right now. I made it to Leyndell once before when I was in my mid-60s. I decided that it looked too much like story progression. Besides, I hadn't even beat Radahn yet. So, I turned away and proceeded to explore _everything_ I could before going back to Leyndell. Now I'm back, and I walked through pretty much everything, including Morgott.

Yeah. He died mercilessly with my Mimic Tear assisting me.

Wait, I miss out on raging wolf for not doing the assassination sidequest? Can't I just get it by exploring?

Was tryna help a guy out against Godfrey Elden Lord but he literally did nothing to help out the fight. I quit on him on the 2nd form. The guy asked me why I dipped and I told him I was going to help him, not carry him.

Deeproot Depths

Beat the Gargoyle bosses in the Siofra Aquaducts (which you access in Ranni's quest) and go to the coffin at the back.

Only reason I knew I missed it was checking a recommended level for reach area and noticed I completely missed it.

They were the one major area boss I saw and thought 'eh fuck that' too lol

Been using margits shackles to reveal hidden walls and make the fire/ice shooting platforms lower. also very useful in one of the hero dungeons for summoning a chariot (its effective range is so far that it likely just lowered the fire shooting platform that causes this). With this tool, I discovered a hidden wall in that area under Mohg in leyndell sewer near something that unlocks an ending
That takes you directly into Deeproot Depths. I thought that was very cool.

Swear those crucible knights for we melee types is harder than like 90 percent of the game's bosses, lmao. I feel like, physically and spiritually drained after killing the bastard that is at crumbling farum azura. That better be the last of their kind damn it.

I'm pretty sure Ranni's quest only gates the Moonlight altar, the aqueducts are accessible by just beating Radahn, also there's another path to deeproot depths from the frenzied flame proscription site of grace.

Finally managed to play some more. Effortlessly bodied the glintstone dragon guarding the key to Raya Lucaria, then mercilessly slaughtered by the two Pumpkin Heads in some Caelid ruins. They did, however, teach me that the AI is smart enough to permanently put down the Undead Militiamen and not just by accident which has sort of ruined my game plan with those two lol. Thought about duplicating Bloody Slash to put on my second rapier, but Lost Ashes are apparently limited and I dunno if I want to do that.

Caelid is just fucking awful btw. I did Gaol Cave and those guys that suicide bomb you are just legitimately upsetting.

So far in Elden Ring discussion, no one has mentioned how the Scarlett Rot creates life and it looks like coral and other sea life.

The Omen guys look like they have coral growths as well.
