Why from likes to nerf cheese is beyond me. Enemies can one shot me but I can't do big chunks of their health?

Try rot and sleep. I think those work on them.

I imagine practically everyone did something similar with this fight here. It gets to that point where to avoid unnecesary flask usage or headache you either just shoot/use sorcery against every single enemy at range or just flat out run past everyone. I did not even bother attempting to fight putrid tree spirit #490 in a scarlet rot pubble with barely any ground to speak of there.

1st playthough i spammed rock sling hehe

2nd playthrough i just skipped it iirc. Was running a bleed build at the time. Good heads up on radahns bow tactic tho. Ill probably do that next time.

Can I make a sleep weapon? All I see are the pots.

Honestly crafting is pretty meh, but that's good in the fact that you can ignore it and it won't detract from your experience.

There is one sword and one torch that do sleep but there are no infusions/ashes of war that let you put sleep on regular weapons.

I wasn't that far away but if you just stand on the ridge right over the rot part, it can't hit you (unless you lead it up to that part). So I just spammed rock sling while 10 feet from it

just opened a chest relatively early game and got teleported way north to a spot in the capital, right near a lost grace and an enemy i was not equipped to fight, guarding a chest containing the blessed dew talisman, which slowly restores HP

Teleporter trap chests are in fixed locations and take you to fixed locations

Anyway I really miss being able to upgrade my armor/clothes.

For me the issue is I have so many cool different things I can wear but the stats are bad compared to other things I have.

So its either play with a meh looking set with good stats are rock what looks better but is completely inferior star wise

In DS2 if I had cool looking stuff that sucked I could + it like my weapons and make it better that way I didnt feel like I was completely nerfing my character lol

Lotta peeps did the research on Reddit and it always came down to wear what you want. Most optimal armor will save you 1-2 hits at most so it's just best to look good and poise is kinda crap

I guess the difference maker are areas like Lake of Rot or poison places where it'd be best to switch to high immunity or focus on what have you temporarily to make life easier.

Reason I ask is I am planning on killing her for this talisman real quick and having either my brother or my friend help me transfer this back to my character after I re-download my save to assist her.

I just wanna say the whole festival of Radahn is just awesome as fuck conceptually. It's basically "Tonight's the night! Come one come all these hands are rated E for everyone! Take a crack at the Starscourge if you dare!" And I love that.

Yep it's awesome. What would have made it cooler was to let other players equip an item that lets them become the summons for the fight for other players. Of course they would have to be limited to be one of the NPC summons or something so that he can't just be cheesed by a buncha rotter's or mages or bleeders lol

For real though, you don't attack them. You just run from them. Those are more "platformer" type levels where you're running from alcove to alcove. There's a couple of these scattered around the game. In two of them, that I noticed, there is a way to kill the chariots but it mostly involves making it to the end of the dungeon and shooting jars from the ceiling or flipping a switch making it crash.

I NEVER go into those Graves carrying souls I don't want to lose. It's pretty much 100 percent chance I'll lose whatever I am carrying in one of those.

Poise is not crap unless you're doing 0 PvP

My Astrologer playthrough is still going strong. I've explored East and West Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula. I think I logged out for the night at an Evergaol by a chuch in WP that I need to beat the boss in. I started exploring some of the area between the Stormveil castle gate where you rest early in the game and the castle proper.

2 things.

1) It's crazy how much of a different feeling a sorcerer play style feels from a STR playstyle. It's almost like it's a different game. I don't want to say Astrologer is easy mode or anything but it can be easier if you're decent at dodging and kiting.

2) I needed to fill a third spell slot and wasn't sure what to get. Sellen didn't have many choices but I had given him the Royal House Scroll. I decided to try out Carian Slicer. Oh man is it good. It's a quick sword attack that you can chain together that seems to hit with the strength of a glintstone pebble or whatever the starter spell is. I used it on the lake Dragon and that went pretty smooth.

I have to find a spell to fill my fourth slot now.

Edit: Also I really need to find a new sword or whatever. I'm still rocking the short sword and haven't found an INT based weapon yet (Besides staves)

There's a set better than Radahn's? It looks like his set gives out the best resistance and poise and defense. Everything counts, IMO even if it's just saving you 10HP more.

I believe the Bull Goat set is the best resistance wise with Radahn having a few things better than it but yeah

dual wielding the red hammer (crozier) + the big hammer (crusher) now. pretty fun. w/ royal knight resolve applied for each I'm hitting near 3k damage with power stance jump attack. the crusher is at +19 and the crozier at +18 so still room to add more damage.

I am avoiding them, it's when they turn sometimes that they can clip you.

Im getting drunk and high tonight and playing some Elden ring before the big game tonight. I'm a level 11 hero and was wondering where should I explore or do next? I can almost beat that baddie with the spear and shield at the center of gatefront ruins.

I found these catacombs... and these little things jumped out and killed me. I stood no chance. There's some ghost on a chair talking about needing to go to the big glowing tree to have some sort of proper death. I'm thinking I shouldn't be here yet.

After getting my ass whooped a bunch of times by these little gargoyle looking mother fuckers. I thought I'd try horse combat. Nope lol. Not happening. So I just bolted past that giant and raced to the Stormhill shack. I think maybe I'll just keep following this path of light for now :/

For horse combat try to not lock on if you can help it. I feel like I'm always circling enemies that I'm too close to if I'm locked on. Also you can swing left or right with LB/RB respectively. I didn't know you could use LB/LT for attacking the left side until after I had beaten the game <_<

i think it depends on stats and the weapon tbh.. best way to know is to just compare the damage values that show up when selecting the affinity.

I realized right after I posted that they mark the location of the map fragment on the map in advance

would have been nice to have an explanation for that lol

I would just keep in mind that status effect buffs from Arcane only work on the weapon if it has Arcane scaling.

So how many regular and somber weapons can you realistically upgrade in a playthrough without grinding a ton to buy the early stones?

I believe the majority of the time there is no real downside to changing a weapon's scaling type compared to what it originally was. Like I use an occult nagakiba now since I have high dex and arcane, and its an improvement overall over something like standard or keen scaling for it since I heavily invested in both stats.
