Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I finished Wish Upon The Pleiades today and it was a pretty crazy ride. Even with the slow middle part and the rapid-fire pace of the last few episodes causing a bit of whiplash, I enjoyed the show a lot. It's one of the better sci-fi anime I've watched, it's one of the better magical girl anime I've watched, and for damn sure it's the best car commercial I've ever watched. Thanks for the ride, Gainax.

Great googly boobly, look at the size of these things. Of all the shows I could have expected to be the "fanservice show" of the season, the Kirara + Doga Kobo slice-of-life series would have been pretty low on the list of candidates. And yet, here we are.

Episode 1-3 spoilers
The main antagonist is literally always shown onscreen raping hoards and hoards of women. Like there is literally not a single moment when he is onscreen and he isn't raping women. And episode 3 is all about saving girls who look no older than 13 from being raped, only for him to blow them up when it became apparent that he was not going to be able to rape them. Like, I think someone should make a "Good heavens, just look at the time!" Meme with him and every single hour says rape.

And this was a disney anime or some shit? lol Pass.

In other news not related to currently airing anime, I'm re-watching Madoka Magica for the first time in a while because r/anime is hosting a re-watch. I decided to purposely find and watch the old TV broadcast version of the episodes, with all of the scuffed Meduka Meguca quality intact.

Ive actually never watched this original version of the show before (I didnt watch Madoka Magica for the first time until like 2016, long after the Blu-Ray fixes and English dub had already come out) so this is definitely going to be an interesting experience to say the least.

Does anyone here happen to know if I can read/watch Fate/Zero without having prior knowledge of the Fate series? PM3 has me in the mood for more Urobuchi lol

Depends on how hard you want to get into the series. If you just want to try the series out in anime form, Fate Zero is the entry point. If you are a visual novel person, then you would play the original game. Just know Fate zero spoils some aspects of the Heavens Feel movies. But if you don't want to go hard on the series, just watch Zero.

Urobutcher is also going to be writing for the new RWBY anime coming later this year, which I'm pretty excited for.

Fate/Zero is pretty much the only thing good to come out of the Fate series. Mainly because Gen the Butcher wrote it.
