So I planned to watch a show called Establishment in Life, an all CG anime airing this season. Just noticed the first three episodes were all up and I binged them all. I went in with 0 expectations, but it's already one of my favorite shows this season. The action is great and the humor is

The last 4 delayed episodes of Magia Record finally came out and finished the story today. I absolutely refuse to acknowledge this as a "final season" no matter how much Aniplex wants to try and gaslight people into thinking it is. Anyways... I'm surprised at some of the changes they made compared to the game's story (including actually killing off some important characters that originally survived the story in the game) but I'm still happy overall with how it turned out. It's still not as good as the original Madoka Magica, but I liked Magia Record a lot. I'll give it an 8.5/10 and say that I'm glad this adaptation happened.

Now if only the game's English version were still alive... RIP.

That cute girls golf anime by Bandai Namco Pictures (formerly Sunrise) premiered today, and of course they threw in an Obari pose and a Gunpla.

There's also two male side characters voiced by the same VA's as Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, but they didn't appear in this first episode. Anyways, I liked the first episode. It was fun.

Despite Cloverworks' best attempt to Cloverworks the show into mediocrity, I still really liked Tokyo 24th Ward. It had delays, production troubles, and (as you can tell) some rough patches of animation, but the story and characters were great and I think it turned out to be an underappreciated gem.

I'm just going to call it the Pangya anime from now on. The sound track reminds me of the sound tracks I would hear in Pangya, Hot Shots Golf, Wii sports. There's just something about them golf soundtracks, yo.

Also, people always joke about watching golf as the go to thing when you are as bored as it gets, and here I'm watching an anime about golf.

I did see someone mention that on Reddit and found it interesting. Apparently the person in charge of the script and series composition for Birdie Wing, Yousuke Kuroda, also did the same for Madlax. I've never watched Madlax myself, but it's been sitting in my plan-to-watch list for a while (plus I've watched Bee Train's two other 'girls with guns' anime, Noir and El Cazador) so I might try to watch it soon.

DO IT. The first two episodes of this show have been the most enjoyable thing of the season so far.

Welp, this is a first for me... Sentai/HiDive apparently lost the streaming rights to Wish Upon The Pleiades (license expiration I guess) and removed the show from their service while I was in the middle of watching it, and they were the only place to legally stream the show. I had already downloaded the episodes to my computer just to make screenshots with, but it looks like I'll have to use them to actually watch the rest of the show now.

There are some female leads I had pegged for best girl of the season before the shows even started (Yor, Shikkimori are some examples) but it's great how there's 'surprise contenders' (like Eiko and that saliva girl from RikeKoi)

In The Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki is the one that I watched and thought was super boring and unfun, while Spy x Family is the one that I liked. Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie didn't seem interesting based on the description so I didn't pick it up.

I read the first 5 chapters of Kunoichi Tsubaki and didn't care for it, so I'm not bothering watching it

I'm happy you liked SxF, it's legitimately great. Once the wife is introduced is when it really settles into it's groove imo

The problem is, it feels like that second half is more likely to be what the show leans more on going forward. Plus, the first "better" half wasn't all that great to me either. It was just "meh" rather than "completely awful" like the second half was.
