We had a good first day! Three games beaten, another with all checks done, and everyone has made good progress. I'll work more on my Minecraft tomorrow

I apologize for not playing Minecraft since the first day. My Nether Fortress is super far from my portal and I'm scared to hunt blazes until I can get a second player. If anyone ever hints for anything that's in my Minecraft, though, I'll push through and beat it.

What do you mean by a second player? Is that a randomizer thing or do you literally mean another person to come along with you? Because if it's the latter, I don't see why one of us can't go with you.

I mean just someone to help. You can do multiplayer archipelago with Minecraft. I actually did the opening hour or so of this randomizer with my brother and nephew (who is 5 so he was only moderately helpful, haha).

Archipelago makes Minecraft kind of easy since you keep your inventory on death, so beating the Ender dragon is a simple matter of putting a bed right before the End portal and dying over and over. All I need now is blaze powder for the ender eyes, but the closest Nether Fortress is a twenty minute run from my nether portal across one of the meanest Nethers I've ever seen. I want someone else, if not to help fight the blazes, to at least stand somewhere safe so I can server-command teleport myself back to them when I die. That's kind of cheating but really it just turns a two hour hunt into ten minutes. Real cheating, in my opinion, would be cheating in the blaze powder outright. I could just build another Nether portal at the fortress but I don't have the obsidian with me or anything so it'd be a good hour to set that up. It's just easier to wait for my brother to be free one night this week.

But yes, if anyone here has Minecraft and wants to help, they could! Only thing is that I work evenings so I'm not available at the best times

I don't think you need to install anything from Archipelago for Minecraft to join a server, only to host. You should just need to launch with version 1.17.1, which is pretty easy to set up from the launcher.

Fair warning, when you first join you will be attacked by several bees from bee traps

I can play then, just ping me in the Discord or something when you're around.

Thanks to Mewtwo's help, I was able to beat Minecraft. It didn't look like we sent out anything super important, though. I still need a few items to officially complete Subnautica, but I've gotten all my checks now

A few others have finished games now too! Hopefully everyone has what they need at this point

I still need the Longshot and the Song of Time to finish Water Temple. I still have some checks left first, so they might pop up there.

Done! Got walled by Speed Booster and Gravity Suit for a few days, but Lolo came through with the suit. And it turned out Speed was in my own game locked behind Gravity. I want to try this with Timespinner in the future after I do a solo run of it.

Well, I checked everything that isn't locked behind the Longshot or Song of Time. I may not need the latter depending on where the boss key is, but I'm totally expecting it to be in the river after all the walls I've hit in this multiworld.

Razen had my Longshot in Timespinners, so once he beat that and I got it, it was pretty quick. The Boss Key was in the chest you have to use the Longshot to get to in the central area, so no Song of Time required. Then it was beat Morpha, climb Ganon's Tower and beat Ganon, and I'm done. Guess Link's learning the Song of Time right before he goes to Termina in this save.

That means everyone is done except for Lolo's Slay the Spire, good job everyone! It was fun, as always.

I think a good tentative start date for the next randomizer would be April 2nd, but if that doesn't work for a majority of people we can shift it around.

I finished my lttp but I had to prod a couple people into it with hints (Which I didn't really intend to do going in, underestimated the slowness) and learn a new trick (Moldorm Bouncing) to bypass the hookshot that I'd probably still be waiting for otherwise. It was rather fun though, and I'm definitely going to play in the next one (Probably 2xLttP + 1x SM64 + maybe 1x V6)

As somebody who was already heavily into lttp rando but had burned out on racing it, this has been a fantastic timekiller.

For the first time since the giant multiworld started I am officially out of runs to do!

Just finished the Slay the Spire seed for our smaller group; know I was the last one, so we all got through it. =D

I bought and played through timespinner recently, so I'll likely be attempting to do that in some multiworlds in the future.

Looks like still no progress on adding Hollow Knight :(

I would be in for Sonic Adventure 2, Pokemon Crystal, or FF6 though, which seem to be in progress at least

Yeah, I saw someone in their future games channel mentioned working on FF6 recently, some open-world randomized variant called Worlds Collide. I don't know what that is exactly but I hope it does get added because FF6 is fun.

Also, congrats on finishing the run, Lolo! That's another async with 100% completion. I'm glad a few people are having a good time with this, I had quite a bit of internal debate before posting this topic because I wasn't sure of anyone else would be interested

I have all my checks done in the big async but I'm waiting for one Neptune part that's stuck in a Minecraft world to actually beat my game.

As for our next async, I haven't heard from anyone either way about April 2nd so hopefully that works for people. I'll start making the list now but it's over a week away so no rush.

Nope - Haven't heard of any movement at all on that.

The Link To The Past/Super Metroid combo randomizer is getting included in the next release (Which will probably be this week?), as are some freeware game called Meritous that I've never heard of and a minesweeper-like that some guy made entirely himself from scratch specifically for the Archipelago project. But I haven't heard of any movement at all on Pokemon.

Archipelago updated to 0.3.0. I imagine there will be updates or downloads for certain games, hopefully everyone can figure theirs out (and that the old yamls people have given me will still work on Saturday, at worst I'll try to make new ones with the same settings but it might delay the start of the multiworld).

Archipidle is literally an idle game I guess? You launch the client and it sends a check every thirty seconds. I'm honestly not sure yet if it's an April Fools joke or not. I hope it's real because it sounds silly and fun. As for the others, Meritous is some sort of bullet hell game, SMZ3 is LTTP and Super Metroid merged together into one game, and Checksfinder is a Minesweeper clone someone made specifically for Archipelago.

EDIT: Oh the Archipidle game page literally says it's an April Fools joke. I won't edit it out of the post because I'm not ashamed to say that they got me. I wanted it to be real! I like idle games.

I'm under the impression that it's a joke but might actually be technically functional?
