This is by far the worst the Pac-12 has ever been and that's saying a lot

that being said it's cool seeing Utah win the Pac-12 because it means we won't have another boring match in the Rose Bowl we've already seen a million times

I don't really care who wins most games what I'm just here for Cincinnati and I'm out the moment they are~

Georgia already in, Michigan/Alabama in with wins.

Ok. State and Cincinnati are tricker than I thought. If both win, Ok. Stat ends up with 3 top 15 wins... But also a bad loss. None of these wins would've been on the road, where Cincinnati holds a top 6 win. If Houston clings onto the top 25, it gives Cincinnati 2 ranked wins, one of which is definitively better than anything Ok. State has.

Ok State has scenarios where they jump Cincinnati, but they need some style points, and it'd help if Houston dropped out of the top 25, similar to how Wisconsin dropping from 14 to out was devastating for Notre Dame. This isn't as cut and dry as I thought when I did some research.

Notre Dame is.. Probably? in if any 2 of Michigan, Alabama, Cincinnati, or Ok. State lose. Wisconsin dropping means they now have 0 wins of relevance. They may need 3.

Baylor can get in if they wreck Ok. State and the three above teams lose convincingly. Emphasis on wreck. This would be a revenge game vs. Ok. State, but that TCU loss was horrendous. If Baylor wins by 1 point, they may not even gain a single rank. I think it was the first year of the playoff where Ohio State murdered Wisconsin like 55-0 or something and jumped a bunch of teams and got in. That's what Baylor would have to do. When I commented on Baylor possibly making the CFP a few days ago, I didn't know they had such an awful loss on their resume. If anything, they got a little help last night, as Ohio State's loss to Oregon continues to look worse, and if Michigan loses, they're not going to put them behind Ohio State for Rose Bowl purposes, even if Michigan somehow gets walloped.

If Cincinnati gets absolutely smoked by Houston would it cause Notre Dame to drop below Ohio State? Trying to think if there's a highly unrealistic way for Ohio State to get in.

Georgia win by enough to deter a Bama rematch
Michigan win
OK State lose
Cinci lose (potentially by a lot)

In that scenario would we be looking at Georgia, Michigan, Baylor and Notre Dame? Or does Ohio State get in over one of Baylor/ND? Or do they say fuck it and leave Bama at 3 and Baylor/ND 4?

Not going to happen, just speculating. Although I think it's probably in our best interests to not see Georgia smack the shit out of us.

Wowza. Baylor not letting the opportunity slip by......with a rookie in his second start at that. Kid set a completion record with 17 straight completions.

This reeks of a 22-21 final.

Baylor played 28 minutes of "they're doing well enough to have a chance at the CFP" and will finish with 32 minutes of "how I'd this team in a conference championship game".

It really is amazing how common chokejobs of this magnitude are in big-time college games compared to the NFL.

Blowing an 18 point lead in the slow death way Baylor has is like, a weekly occurrence.

And sure, get the stop on first and second down to let them kill another 70 seconds. Also normal!

At this point, the only alternatives are Baylor and maybe Alabama if they narrowly lose.

The problem ND has is Wisconsin dropping out of the rankings leaves them with 0 good wins. If Bama loses by 1 it's very plausible they don't get passed.

Baylor won't pass anyone with that win.

ND needs Iowa to win or Georgia to win in at least a somewhat convincing manner. Thanks for the choke, Auburn~
