First time since I've been in states (2012) that we have lost to Michigan. Congrats to the Michigan fans in here. No complaints on my end, you were thoroughly the better team. We just could not stop the run.

Even though we lost to them earlier this season, I hope we don't get an Oregon rematch in our bowl game. Right now I assume we would be the Rose Bowl candidate but I'd rather we play someone fresh since it feels like we always play the same teams

Then I guess you should root for Utah to win the Pac-12 championship!

Utah did already rout Oregon(though the Utes were favored by one score), so they could feasibly win twice.

Lincoln Riley to USC apparently. Makes more sense than all the LSU rumors.

But uh not the best timing for us since we finally had top 10 recruiting classes coming the next two years. Literally the most important coaching search in OU history is starting now

I think Reilly to USC is a dumb move unless they're paying him a lot more than OU is.

Florida is hiring the Raging Cajun coach. Reportedly OU is looking at Kingsbury. As a Vols fan, I'm kind of worried they'll try to poach Heupel.

Also, Duke fired the best thing to ever happen to its football program, so they're headed back to winning 2 games a season max.

Also I think OU will be fine one way or the other. They might have the best AD in football and it's really important to Oklahoma to be good at football.

Yeah, I think Venables would be a good hire. Oklahoma generally doesn't make bad hires. They usually seem to get it right.

Notre Dame is like the independent version of the Pac-12, except they don't get a title game and basically have to always go undefeated to have a realistic shot on most years.

Depends on who wins SEC

Georgia wins, buy Cotton Bowl tickets.
Bama wins, I would guess Michigan would be 1 seed, and would rather play Orange Bowl (especially if the opponent is Bama)

If Bama wins the SEC, I'd say the final rankings will be Michigan, Bama, UGA, Cincy.

If UGA wins, it'll be UGA, Michigan, Cincy, OK State/Notre Dame

so either way I think Michigan winds up playing Cincy as long as they both win

If Bama wins the SEC they will likely be 1 imo. They won't want an immediate UGA rematch.

I think Michigan are pretty locked in at 2 as long as they win.

I think they will rig the rankings to prevent the immediate rematch

Yeah, I guess they'll try to avoid the rematch and they won't drop UGA all the way to 4.

so yeah Michigan should probably root for UGA to win because having to play them first would not be ideal

By the way, Baylor can make the CFP if Georgia, Iowa, and Baylor all win.

And there's just nothing left to stop 2 loss Big 12 Champ Baylor from sliding into the 4. Everyone else is gone.

I hear Aiden Hutchinson is getting some talk, which is cool, although if I were to pick a Michigan player it'd be Hasan Haskins - 5 TDs against Ohio St is nuts, and his hurdle against Nebraska is one of the plays of the year imo

We were pretty close to Ole Miss being a big part of this potential ranking controversy too - if they hadn't lost to Auburn they'd be 11-1 but still not playing in the SEC championship game thanks to Bama's comeback against Auburn, since Ole Miss's only loss besides that is a road loss to Bama

I don't know who the best player on the Georgia defense is but I feel like the best player has to be in there somewhere because Georgia's defense is like... possibly one of the best defenses in the history of college football? They just completely erase the concept of the other team having an offense every week

The Heisman will go to whoever broke the most records. Or something.

Transfer Portal news: Nebraska's QB entering the transfer portal. Doing his fifth year......wherever. One of Ohio State's backup QBs is also entering the portal.

What places need QBs? Don't know who takes a chance on Martinez though. Serviceable guy entering his fifth year......when many programs would probably prefer to build up a new guy.
