Which means leapfrogging OSU which I can't see happening. They had such a bad win I don't think they go anywhere.

And Baylor has a horrifying loss to TCU on it's resume.

You can dominate a game without scoring a lot of points. They could've played for another 60 minutes and I'm not sure Clemson would've gotten to 10 points.

A) Play another 60 minutes and any college defense collapses.
B) Name a scenario that is a less dominant victory than a single play changing the winner.

a victory where you never lead until the moment you win the game like when Alabama beat UGA in the national championship game a few years ago

although there are plenty of games where the winner doesn't dominate anyway

That's been the story all season. The defense has to gift wrap scores for the offense.

Yeah, I think Alabama's victory was so impressive today that they probably jump to #1 just because they did it against the current #1 team.

Fair enough.

Here's the compromise I'll give you. Georgia's defense looked amazing that game. They still very nearly couldn't make up for their lack of offense. That wasn't the case the rest of the regular season, even though they are still very much a defensive team.

Yep, Baylor wasn't going anywhere with a win that unconvincing. To pass OSU or ND they needed to win by like, 30+.

They lost to TCU. TCU isn't even bowl eligible. I think they may pass Ok State but I'm far from certain.

Well, that's not what really happened. I'm assuming they held off on firing Diaz until they were 100% sure Cristobal wasn't going to back out or Phil Knight wasn't going to outbid them.
