Vanilla is tolerable, the fries aren't that good, and the nuggets are ok without dipping sauce. But when you're selling nuggets, you count those things out.

I feel like the protein is the biggest deal. Thats just straight up possibly not as full. There really isnt that big of a difference between the chocolate and vanilla frosty. You could stretch the dipping sauce.

Don't worry, I'm sure all of those Wendy's employees will be on r/antiwork tomorrow talking about how they "stuck it to the man" by shortchanging your fries. Then they will talk about how flipping burgers is "skilled labour" despite it being a job that can be taught to a 14 year old over the course of 3 shifts.

Don't get me wrong, wage stagnation is a problem, and minimum wage has not grown with the rate of inflation in either the US/Canada, and it is hilarious to see market forces at work with companies having to offer more money in order to attract employees. My post was more a comment on the specific group of uneducated slobs on Reddit that think flipping a burger is some sort of skilled trade that deserves $30/hour or something, rather than a job for high schoolers and retirees.

My brother has informed me that this particular Wendys is notorious for fucking up orders. And normally I wouldn't care but we had the wrong pizza delivered to us the day before so I'm a little peeved about back to back wrong orders!

You're looking at it too short term. It's not about what's deserved, it's about what's better for the society.
Most people aren't going to make this point, but if McDonald's workers make 30/hour, that'll prompt mcdonald's to make more automated serving machines and stuff. Raising wages will cause technology to shift to replacing more jobs, which is way better than the useless shit billionaries spend their money on. The more technology takes jobs away, the less we even have to talk about this old-ass concept where every person must be working on something stupid.

People should be contributing to society, if they want to benefit from the things that society gives them (infrastructure, technology, security, social assistance). The problem with automation, is what will all the people working in low skilled jobs do after they lose their low skilled jobs? If you say some sort of UBI where people get money to sit at home and do nothing, what is the incentive for people to strive for getting into a more skilled career? You could make UBI the bare minimum to pay for food/shelter, but then those people would complain because they don't have a big screen TV, or the newest iPhone, while people that are working for a living are enjoying those benefits. Nothing is solved here.

Complaining doesn't ruin the idea XD. Even if they did complain they're still better off than working for the same amount.

To your point, I do believe our current population wouldn't be that productive, but that's because we were raised to be worker bees. From a young age we go through the indoctrination of public education that funnels us right into the rigid bereaucracies and control systems that get us used to the idea that "free time" is something to be spent on frivolous activities.

I think people are naturally industrious if you give them the freedom of choice and time. They can all provide way more to society with self-driven creative goals than all the unskilled labor they do. It might take a cultural shift or the next generation to use their free time well, but it'll be better for everyone.

I thought I remember seeing somewhere how someone compared different sizes of fries at different fast food restaurants. It was not uncommon to find the next size up gave like only 6 more fries in some cases. In one case, he actually got more fries from a generously overflowing medium fry than he did with the large.

It makes sense somewhat since if you're familar with the business, they use the same sized fry scooper to fill every container. The same one-swoop technique fills a medium or a large.
