oh snap I forgot about the new ladders since they're just from a new recipe at Nooks (also with some starter food recipes)

Also you can discover new fish recipes as you... fish the fish. A new reason to fish again! I've gotten 3 so far, and yes Sea Bass has another recipe in addition to the one included with the basic recipe pack

PS: UK got the Happy Home Paradise content unlocked at midnight so we should hopefully get the same~

What each Ordinance does
---
The Beautiful Island Ordinance keeps your island tidy, making trash appear less often in rivers, ponds, and seas. Weeds are less likely to appear on your island, and villagers contribute to watering flowers more. Hybrid flowers are also 20% more likely to spawn when watering two parent flowers next to each other. Cockroaches will not show up in your home, no matter how long you haven't played the game.

With the Early Bird Ordinance, all villagers go to sleep earlier and wake up earlier. All stores will also open earlier: the Able Sister's shop opens from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., while Nook's Cranny opens from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Night Owl Ordinance has all villagers go to sleep later and wake up later. All stores will also close later: the Able Sister's shop opens from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., while Nook's Cranny opens from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Bell Boom Ordinance lets shops pay you 1.2x the selling price for any items you wish to sell. This means that native fruit that normally sell for 100 Bells will sell for 120 Bells under the Bell Boom Ordinance. However, items are also sold for 1.2x the price, so you won't notice a change in your "cost of living" unless you conduct business on another island. Turnips are not affected by the Bell Boom.

I'm kind of disappointed by the Ordinances.

Beautiful Island Ordinance seems the most useful, if you're wanting Hybrids or just don't want cockroaches. (Though I really hate how fast flowers grow in the island, so I don't want my residents watering plants)

Night Owl and Early bird only affect things by an hour. Might as well just change time zones.

Bell Boom you'd have to sell 100,000 Bells worth of goods just to get the 20,000 bells to pass the ordinance. 200,000 if you count changing the ordinance back.

So Redd was the first co-op person I unlocked, then yesterday I bought a statue from him. Today only the one that I bought had been replaced. Guess I'm gonna start using my kids' profiles to make sure everything gets bought so I get a fresh chance at the few arts I'm missing every day.

Also - Isabelle told me who our visitor was today! An excellent addition.

Same as Jon, I only bought one because I forgot to log in with my second account to get the other and Redd restocked. I've bought both today though, so see what he has tomorrow, but it's looking good for getting 14 shots a week at museum pieces if you play every day.

Least you managed to get some. Nintendo UK store didn't cap orders per customer, so they were completely sold out in under ten minutes. Managed to get the Sanrio cards at least.

I like that the animals you decorate for give you stuff if you talk to them again later. It's stuff you decorated with too.

I also noticed the stuff you buy with poki goes into your decorating inventory. Now all my beach homes can have the double beach chair and a toy ducky.

Also hooray my sugar cane has grown and I got Zucker's photo today.

So what non-HHD island stuff do you get access to if you buy the DLC? By that I guess I mean, outside of decorating rooms for characters on the getaway island what does the paid dlc get you?

It certainly takes a while to get to all the features but

• Customize Windows / Entryways (7 different options for the flooring/stairways connecting rooms)
• Polishing (make furniture sparkle... like, realllly sparkle on level 3)
• Wall partitions & Pillars (you can get your walls to protrude out wherever, keeping consistency with your wallpaper)
• Counter tops (two different levels of height
• New Lighting (adjustable dim & hue)
• Soundscapes (different kinda environmental background sounds

So far I've decorated homes for 7 clients and 1 facility and I only have access to Entryways/Windows and Polishing... actually is Entryways even a DLC feature? I don't see it noted in that article so maybe it's free or old I just never noticed?

You can also decorate the rooms for characters on your island. Your neighbors rooms. One thing I'm not sure of is that HHP lets you resize rooms for vacationers - this feature cannot be used on the rooms in your own house, but I dunno if it can be used on your neighbours houses since I haven't unlocked neighbor customization yet. You get room resizing after the 6th client.

They'll still show up on the island. They just won't show up on Harv's island those days.

There's also the added benefit of the HHP having its own furniture shop with five things rotating daily, and so far it's all been stuff new to 2.0. You do have to do decorating to earn the currency used to buy them, though.
