You could have just said your post was unrelated to the conspiracy nuts in the thread. Then you double downed on the unproven part of it(and falsely claiming its only been a year, it has actually been 5).

Doubling down on what unproven part?

Havana Syndrome itself is literally unproven, what are you arguing about?

I genuinely dont know what your issue is here?

I understand now.

Because of the way your brain works when reading my posts, you think I was saying the symptoms are a fake conspiracy, but from the first post I said what I meant, the source is literally a presumed conspiracy:

ChaosTonyV4 posted...
potential (read: not proven in any way) directed-radiation related injuries within a year of it happening, with 0 people voting against it, and yet compensation for literally countless other people with provable illnesses and injuries is basically impossible.
ChaosTonyV4 posted...
They passed a bill giving compensation to people for a condition they literally havent identified the source of.

I guess thats technically conspiracy but the source of the conspiracy accusation is the government itself, so get off my dick

inb4 you do that thing where you assume your interpretation of my post is actually what I really meant, despite the fact that you can see from my responses that Im not, or Id have understood what you were saying.

Yeah, like one of the cases was literally I was at an intersection in my car, and my kid started crying in the back seat while I got a migraine. When my kid stopped crying my migraine went away.

Whats more likely, a directed radiation weapon (something that should be impossible) shooting some guy and his kid for a couple minutes, or a stressed out guy with a crying kid having a migraine?

The symptoms are real, the source is a conspiracy theory.

And I say again, it is very funny that we can unanimously pass a bill compensating them for it.

I mean, we've always been able to get universal support behind our troops and our intelligence agencies and have struggled to do the same behind "everyone else".

That's really the entire bottom line that needs to be focused on.

And if our intelligence agents have brain damage (regardless of cause) then sure, they should receive assistance.

There is nothing hypocritical about making fun of the government for making special exceptions for healthcare for service members even when the source is literally unknown instead of doing something more universal or even just making sure service members had adequate healthcare from the start. Thats the definition of a conspiracy theory. We are making fun of it, you are defending it.

I mean there are plenty of sources claiming that "foreign attack" is the unofficial stance of the US government on this even though they publicly deny it, and a handful of scientific experts and papers published as recently as last year supporting the microwave theory. There's a lot of legitimate, but conflicting information! So I would get calling the skeptics conspiracy theorists if one were to believe the scattered support for the microwave weapon, but it's the both-sidesing here that's baffling me.

The microwaves are the leading theory, but even the proponents of it say its inconclusive, because of how theres no evidence something like that can even be created.

Some of the experts theyve asked said it could be acoustic, radio frequency, or even lasers. I cannot emphasize any harder how little evidence they have of the source, literally all they have is the symptoms.

Right, and I'll say I point this out not to give credibility to the theory because information turns out to be wrong all the time, but mostly to point out we DO have semi-official support for it. I mean, it was openly the US's stance at one point, when we accused Cuba of using sonic weaponry over it, and we know enough to know that there's still leftover support for that as it's being investigated, being treated basically as fact even though the facts are up in the air. And it's precisely that with the lack of evidence that makes it so memeable.

As far as conspiracy theories go this would be a pretty harmless one EXCEPT it's a shadow policy accepted by some circles in the government and you can actually see it affect policy and foreign relations. At that point what is even left to do but joke about how absurd the entire situation is?

Yes. He made the exit deal with the Taliban and Afghan government. He set a deadline for early in what he thought would be his second term.

But then he lost and Biden just continued his planned departure but with a delay in the deadline.

He didn't reach the deal with the Taliban until 2020. Our negotiator in chief ended up getting a promise from them that they would no longer harbor terrorists. Which is somewhat better than nothing, I suppose.
