statistics show that the type of vehicle someone drives can very much reveal what their politics are as pick up truck, drivers are likely conservative and eco friendly drivers are liberals..

likewise, bike riders are considered more liberal compared to motorcycle riders who are likely conservative

people who drive SUV's and minivans however is split but tilt slightly to conservative cause of the suburban soccer moms.

and people who drive fast muscle cars are also likely conservative compared to smaller compact vehicles are liberals

then there's the others who are apolitical..such as skateboarders

I mean, my younger sibling was chased down the street by a guy screaming the n-word with a confederate flag on his truck (which was weird because we're white). Seems to check out.

I'm pretty liberal but I drive a Ram 1500 truck.

It's still probably a pretty good predictor overall.

I have a pickup truck. But mostly because I was tired of calling people to help me bring bigger stuff home when I accidentally bought something that wouldnt fit in my car. Oh. And for helping people move. Which happens quite often here. Its also good for carry tons of stuff, like when I go home and everything

Nope. I know more pick-up driving liberals than pick-up truck conservative, and most hybrid-drivers I know are conservative. Most pick-up truck owners I've met own one for practicality rather than signalling politics.

Motorcycles are a mixed bag. I don't know that many motorcyclists, and I'm not sure about their politics in most cases.

How about a smaller pickup? My Chevy S-10 is little, but can still handle twelve 50 pound bags of horse food.

It's funny because most people who have a pickup truck (like the best selling single type of vehicle) don't actually use it for anything other than their daily commute, and the truck is more about signaling masculinity to others than providing any function

Obviously if you use your truck for hauling and towing or you inherited it or got it used for a good price this isn't referring to you. It's referring to the millions of ppl who continue to buy them new and never do anything but drive from home to work and back

I can see the appeal in a trunk when you need to transport something big, but those times I either ask one of my friends or family to help me or rent one from Lowes/Home Depot. Usually my preference in car amounts to what is the cheapest to buy and the cheapest to drive. That usually ends up being a compact or mid-size (and most "eco friendly" cars don't fit the cheapest to buy idea since they are twice as much as a regular compact or mid-size).
