Bard changes look great!

- bloodletter charges
- double apex arrow with high meter (aka always)
- a second charge of bloodletter
- radiant finale is a bit weird but is basically trick attack on a longer cooldown
- more uses of bloodletter over the course of a fight
- the cooldown timing adjustments mean you can do a 45/45/30 song rotation which actually lines your buffs AND burst up with 1m and 2m party buffs
- in particular, Raging Strikes being 60s now means I get to use it normally in WM and then have a second use in MB SO I CAN BUFF ALL THESE BLOODLETTERS

Very short summaries of changes for all the jobs I feel qualified to comment on:

PLD: Rotation is functionally the same, but personal mitigation and self-sustain is noticeably improved.
WAR: Nascent Flash healing being nerfed sucks and the shift to a 60 second rotation will take some getting used to, but overall the changes are good.
DRK: Shadowbringer being on 2 60 second charges doubles down on the resource/burst window management that is DRK's rotational identity, but good lord that opener is going to be busy. And why didn't Blood Weapon get the Delirium/Inner Release stack treatment?
GNB: Conceptually very similar to how it is now, just with a few new wrinkles thrown in.
SCH: Energy Drain costing Aetherflow stacks remains the single worst class design decision in the entire game. Remove the Aetherflow cost and give it 3 charges every 60 seconds and nothing would change, except now SCH players would actually use their Aetherflow to heal instead of griefing their co-healers.
AST: I have no idea what inspired SE to revert Minor Arcana to Stormblood RNG status. Actually, I do - it was all the idiots complaining about the card changes going into Shadowbringers and how now they can't experience the thrilling gameplay of drawing a completely useless TP-restoring card in a buff window when all they actually wanted was a Balance.
MCH: Functionally unchanged, which is fine because the job works perfectly well right now.
SMN: I think I kind of understand how this is supposed to work and it looks cool as hell. Can't wait for the actual experts to do the math and discover all my assumptions are wrong!

So in that dungeon they're showing...every single Scion is there and fighting when doing Trusts. There's the 3 in active combat you select but the others are all hanging out and casting stuff occasionally from the back.

I wonder if this is just a thing for that dungeon, or if every single Scion comes into the dungeons now for Trusts in general, either to just speed it up or potentially gain partial or all experience as well.

It's actually the worst! The job is missing a personal cooldown relative to the other tanks and the rotation has no form of self-heal, plus it has no OGCD to heal itself with (the other tanks all have both). About the only thing PLD has that the others don't is Clemency, and if you're using that your healer has the legal obligation to stop healing you and go full DPS.

Paladin was by far the best self sustain for solo unsynched through and now its even better. Hell, before you had to ignore the magic combo entirely but now that the Confiteor combo restores MP...!

Maybe not with the stat squish though.

Well, part of it is protection against wasting procs but you're still going to want to dump all your charges ASAP because if you have 0 that means you can get two at the same time.

Remains to be seen how much the Thin Air changes affects MP regeneration. Takes away the Thin Air + C3 spam to deal with Terminal Relativity esque mechanics, but Lilybell should be a decent substitute.

Life Surge isn't lining up with Full Thrust on repeat, I'm assuming it's better to use it on a combo finisher rather than letting it drift?

Have you been doing the Namazu quests too? Those are also huge exp. Also do not neglect Custom Delivery EXP. Those are daily/weekly gated but over a long period of time it's basically free. Grand Company turn-ins are another daily source, although they might be more of a pain to track down ingredients than Ishgard.

As far as faster powerleveling, if there's a leve strat similar to the coffee biscuit one earlier, I haven't heard of it.

Oh yeah, Custom Deliveries, good call! And no, didn't do the Namazu... I was following a guide that strictly had me on Restoration until 70, then Crystarium leves after that. But it was getting pretty expensive!!

Beast tribes are a good way to level crafters if you're not in a hurry (Moogles 50-60, Namazu 60-70, Dwarves 70-80; technically the Ixal exist for 1-50 but bleh). Heavily time-gated but essentially free in terms of gil.

Of course, if you're absolutely determined to spend absolutely no gil the cheapest way to do it is Ishgardian Restoration while also levelling your gatherers alongside so you can gather everything you need. It takes noticeably longer but saves a fair amount of gil, and any extra materials you flip on the MB are pure profit at that point.

Going through all the steps to unlock the Namazu quests is definitely worth it for leveling DoH 60-70. Moogles for 50-60 I'm not so sure about anymore but you're long past anyways. I did them in Heavensward where they were only ok and don't know if they ever boosted their exp. But Namazu quests give SO much and I believe are on par with the Shadowbringers tribes for efficiency. That's a huge omission in the guide.

And as a bonus, the Namazu's story is funny, for sure one of the best tribe questlines, and you get a great mount!

Levelling crafting from 71-80 is dead simple. Do weekly turn-ins, do Dwarf beast tribe dailies and do the 71+ levequests from the crystarium. Make sure to also do the class quests ever couple levels as they also give great Exp. Levelling DoH/DoL has never been faster or easier

If you still plan to play it at cap there's value in sticking with what you know. In Stormblood I dropped BLM for RDM and power leveled it so I could do the story on that (had nothing better to do with Raubahn in the way), played it for two patches and ended up not liking it enough and switching to Bard. Bard was not super interesting to level in 5.0 but it let me focus on other things. If you are super hype for the new jobs then by all means go for it, but personally overdoing RDM burned out my hype.

Basically, my recommendation for new expac leveling is stick to something you know you'll main for MSQ and then do leveling + alliance on alt jobs as you go. It's likely they'll be adding new tiers of materia and it's also likely those will be rewarded from Adventurer in Need bonuses on those 80-90, so just try to snipe those when you can.

Plus, remember they're doing role quests again and also adding a 5th for phys ranged. So it's not like MCH is a waste if that's your ranged of choice. Btw if anyone has not completed all 4 role quests + the epilogues, highly recommend doing that before Endwalker.

Got CUL to 80!! Its my first maxed out crafting job. Besides coffee biscuit turn ins, what other ways are there to make decent money with it? Is it just like, watching the market board for whats going for a lot of money? Should I be leveling gatherers so I can get all the materials to make stuff without buying anything?

Leveling gatherers (and not neglecting retainers!) is always a good idea for making money effectively with crafting. For CUL this can include Fisher which I recommend using as many tribes/deliveries on as you can.

Making money is pretty simple for CUL and generally boils down to crafting whatever the current best foods are. These don't sell for a ton, but they consistently move in bulk. Unfortunately we're at the part of the patch cycle where people are least likely to be buying food. I would check on how gathering and maybe crafting foods are doing on the MB, but mostly I'd just say prepare yourself for new food and a demand spike in Endwalker.

Another hot tip is that the "furniture" foods sometimes sell for a lot, so check on those.
