Was running the 2nd to last story dungeon in ARR and internet provider decided to have a statewide outage as I was nearing the end of it

Still not much interested in tanks beyond WAR and their only apparent change from job trailer was Quality of Life beast gauge cost and a dopamine rush finisher after you slam Fel Cleave enough.

All I can say about those Tank changes is that they sure do want you to play Paladin, lol. Looks like the only Tank getting major retroactive changes to how some of its abilities work. Everyone else is just...more of the same, maybe a little shinier for Gunbreaker, and obviously the beast gauge stuff.

Dark Knight is just looking stagnant. How do you talk about getting characters their kits earlier and still have the AoE combo action at 72?

Dark Knight performs well at max level and is highly played relative to other tanks despite the issues you mentioned so I think they're just reluctant to change anything. Even though I agree it could use a shakeup. It's kind of wild that DRK has become the most straightforward and least engaging tank job!

According to these leaks, Bard gets Trick Attack on a 90s cool down and MOTHERFUCKING BLOODLETTER CHARGES which sounds too good to be true but is more than enough to satisfy me if it is

WHM:
Benison and some other abilities I've noticed going to a charge based system is nice. Thin Air I'm a bit more leery on, since I freely abused the hell out of it during E8Ns final 10%.
Why skip Holy 2/Glare 2 and go right to 3? Confusion.
Lillybell is cool, I guess? Basically reverse engineering a Scholar faerie for its charges, on a 3m cooldown.

SCH:
Now I can slap the ground HARDER.
Seraph and the Aetherpact Gauge still feel and look superfluous.
Oh no the ability to book it is a pun. (I like that it gives DR, though.)
I still probably won't play it, since Sage is more my jam.

I mean, for a Tank? Dungeons are the answer if you're looking at actual minimal time.

Otherwise just make sure to do Leveling, MSQ Roulette, and Frontline Roulette. You don't have Alliance Roulette on DKN yet which is the other staple.

If you don't want to do dungeons then the alternative at that level is Palace of the Dead.

Me personally, I only do roulettes because I'm in no rush. I have never once queued into any specific instanstance for the purpose of gaining EXP.

And if by "dungeons" you mean non-instanced content uh...there's honestly not much of that in this game. There's Levequests but those kind of suck, but those and FATEs (which are worse) are the only thing I can think of.

not a big fan of tanking so would rather not dungeon if possible. FATEs used to be p good but geez worse than leves now augh. ill try palace of the dead since its new and is there so might as well

You can do squadrons if your problem is tanking with other people rather than the dungeons themselves

I cant believe I was sleeping on the pixie beast tribe for so long. They give SO much exp, Im never not doing them daily while leveling a job between 70 and 80.

I got Paladin to 75 now, things are looking good. Cant wait to make a killer glam once I get to 80!
