Holiday's steal on Booker will always be overshadowed by the Giannis block from game 4, but that was outstanding.

It seemed like the Bucks lost interest in winning midway through the 4th quarter and only found it again when it was a one-point game. You can't take your foot off the gas when the other team has their foot on the gas.

That last minute was something else though, and that strip-steal was incredible. (I say this despite this being the first time I've ever cared about the NBA - simply because of the fair weather in Wisconsin, if you know what I mean.)

The Giannis block in Game 4. The steal and oop in Game 5. Some memorable tight finishes after 3 routs before that. go bucks!

There were a lot of people saying the Suns were going to easily win this after Game 2. I always felt that was premature simply because it was their 2 home games. I feel like talk like that shouldnt start until the other team gets a chance to defend themselves at home. That's not to say that they didnt play well, because they did, and they have continued to play well outside of Game 3. These last two games went down to the wire and the bucks were fortunate enough to snag them both.

I am very optimistic about the Bucks chances in Game 6, but I know the Suns are tough and they'll need to play their A-game to hold down the fort at home.

The Suns definitely earned that L but Holiday fouled Booker on that steal. No one cares because Booker got away with worse at the end of Game 4, but I wonder if things would be different if Booker fouled out when he was supposed to. I think that moment turned the Suns into the villains in many people's eyes, unfortunately. To be clear, I'm not blaming the refs, it's just an observation

That's not what I've heard from everywhere else. Though I know I've heard giannis say how he faced a lot of discrimination growing up there, so its possible I suppose.

It's a very common thing in Europe. The "blue collar" Europeans generally loathe refugees (particularly from Africa). Imagine the stereotypical racist in Texas who hates Mexicans, but actually real.

Anyway, the few guys I talked to in Greece (waiters and resort workers) really hate Giannis. They loved Kobe and Lebron though, so it's not a race thing per se. Definitely an immigration issue.

I guess you would have to define what "a few years ago" is. I know I say several news reports with video on site of Greece fans gushing over Giannis when the team started playing extremely well back in 2019. Obviously not everyone is expected to have the same opinion on everything, but many seemed very proud of him.

While I'm not doubting your experience with the waiter and resort workers or whoever, a simple Google search of credible news articles and dozens of reddit posts from Greek people and people who visited Greece paint a completely different picture from what you are saying.

The overwhelming consensus seems to be that the majority of Greeks support Giannis, and while there are no doubt people there who do not like him because he's an immigrant or whatever, to speak of it in such absolutes as you do is painting an incorrect picture of reality.

Lol it's not "misinformation" to write about my own experience. When I was in Athens, I spoke to 3 guys separately about basketball. All 3 had utter contempt for Giannis. Small sample size, but that seems like a not-insignificant feeling amongst a certain demographic (30s, male, no college education).

Ok you're right, I should have spent my honeymoon conducting a data analysis of Giannis's approval rating before posting.

How about this: every Greek I've spoken to about basketball hates Giannis and I got xenophobic, anti-immigrant vibes from them when I brought him up.

I have no idea. Scott Foster hates CP3 though. 0-12 in games he has reffed in the playoffs, but that's also a bit misleading because Paul doesn't have the greatest playoff record and has chocked in big games. Foster also tends to ref big playoff games. Foster also just shouldn't be a ref either.

I haven't looked into Brothers too much, but from the little I have seen Bucks fans hate him too.

All in all, I think with little to no funny business, Bucks close it out tonight.

I have yet to talk to someone that supports Rodgers over the Packers. I know that's not going to be true for all of Wisconsin, but I figured at least one person in my life would be siding with him over the team. He might be more hated than Favre was after all of this!

Yeah, Rodgers' best bet to win a second title is to stay in Green Bay, but I think he's just tired of being there and wants out, period. I don't think it's about the money or winning for him at this point.

I wouldn't say I support Rodgers "over" the Packers, but, as a Packers fan, I don't hate him. Circumstances in the NFL and NBA have proven that, in this day and age, if you're a sports superstar you can go to a team and get whatever and whoever you want to win a championship. I also think there's probably stuff beyond what we've heard about the culture there. Basically, I think he just wants out, and he wants to go to a team that'll say "tell us what you want and we'll do it." He also is very obviously thinking about a Michael Strahan-esque career beyond football, and Green Bay isn't exactly the best place to play for that.

Does all of this kind of screw over the team this season? Yeah, so I get why people are mad. But I can't say I blame him.
