I have seen people say this is what it would be like if Quentin Tarantino made an anime and I can kind of see it.

Beated Made In Abyss series, but none of the movies since they arent on any services I have. It was pretty decent overall. I felt like it didnt get great until about episode 9 or 10 and from there til the end was easily the best part of the series. Visuals are nice even if almost everyone looking 7 is weird. Comedy was pretty good even though Riko pisses herself too much.

I kinda wish the exploration was better and more interesting. Some of the layers they spent all of 1 episode in and moved on without really encountering anything all that great. Theres a focus on finding relics early on and then they seem to not care about finding any after. I still have no idea why any of them even want to explore the Abyss either though. It literally just sounds suicidal so I guess theyre all just insane from living close to it or something. The characters are pretty fine for the most part. If I had to pick favorites it would probably be Reg, Nanachi and Ozen. Riko feels like she just exists to be an encyclopedia, chef and damsel

Yep it's great so far. Nice to see what Takamura can do when not crippled by weight control. (And if Keith's coach somehow didnt put together that his stamina issues might be tied to that...)

Seems like this might be his natural weight class? This or one more up.

It's nice that this is such a strong season of anime because the next one seems fairly dire. There's Higurashi and Dragon Maid, which are continuations of shows I wasn't especially excited about. And... I got nothing. Hopefully some of the things I'm not that familiar with show promise, or an original turns out to be good.

After what started happening with Higurashi Gou I'm pretty damn excited for Satsu. There's a new Love Live at least.

Besides that...let's hope for some surprises!

The Uramichi Oniisan manga is quite funny, I just don't watch comedy adaptations that often when I know all the jokes.

Mapping out in my head if a miracle happened and the Ippo anime ever returned how much they would need to cover

A 4th season would probably need to be much longer than the 2nd and 3rd seasons and probably closer to the 1st season and cover all the way up to the Woli fight. Which is probably why they wouldn't do it :(

A 5th season would be all the world ranked matches and CTE madness up until his back to back losses that puts him in retirement

A 6th season could be the entire retirement arc depending on how much longer it goes for.

Then from there who knows. My assumption is he comes out of retirement eventually and goes for that 2nd run at the world title. But who knows how long from now that will be in how long that arc would also be.

As of Rising they've only covered 557 chapters of the current 1338

What I saw was perfectly decent, but I don't really understand why it was getting the reputation as the "next big thing" even while it was airing. Seems like it was just big marketing.

I wouldn't call it a bad show by any means unless it gets way worse later or something!

I thought the start was the best part, yeah. Biggest problem is that most of the characters suck (though for some reason the guy characters are much better than the girl characters, generally). Gave it a 3/10 in the end.

I had been interested in Shadows House going into this season, and after I watched the first two episodes I was impatient and binged the manga in between. I'm still watching the adaptation, and it's good enough as the typical teaser for the source material, but it's disappointing if major plot points are being cut as they seem to be based on the latest episode.

It is still good to see these characters animated though. And the ED is so good it practically justifies the adaptation by itself.

Shadow House had a great premier and I am very interested in what this show ends up being, its Cloverworks though so I'm already prepared to start reading the manga when the show starts to skip stuff.

So Tokyo Revengers has gotten to chapter 8 so far of the manga in 4 episodes, perfectly fine.

...and it appears to be over 200 chapters...with a second series of some kind after.

Yeah I'm just gonna read this. That's two anime that I'm swinging to the manga for this season for very different reasons, lol.

I read fast as fuck boiiiiiiii. Tokyo Revengers is a very decompressed comic though so not as insane as it sounds.

I guess the people that talked about it always talk about it like some kind of classic series that was finally getting adapted, so I figured it was kind of old. I don't wiki dive before every read!

Does not help that the actual content of where its at and the lead up to the newest chapter for the last 2 dozen or so legitimately felt like it could be the end, so I was kind of expecting it.

To be clear though this is a VERY good manga. There was an insert page towards catching up there from a salty translator that was just red text on a black background saying "hey go read one of these actual GOOD delinquent manga instead of this crap", and that's how you really know a series is good. Made me nostalgic for when Dattebayo were releasing super salty fake subs for Soul Eater back in the day.

Yeah there's a serious modern Hunter x Hunter vibe over these last few chapters.

I am more upset than I care to admit that we don't know the status of a certain character. When I saw I was catching up to the chapters I was just DREADING that that would still be up in the air.
