The JJK movie could really be great.

I wasn't a fan of the original Vol 0, but that was mostly because it was trying to tell a story in 4 chapters while introducing the reader to all the mechanics and extended cast of the series.

Now viewers will already know about curses and the Jujutsu world and have already been introduced to Gojo, Geto, etc. so it doesn't have to waste time and can focus on the main characters of the movie.

I'm guessing part of the reason people aren't fans of A vs. B was because the pages per chapter were suddenly cut in half and it took forever to get through if reading it weekly for something that seemed more like a side story.

I have not been hearing great things about the MHA anime lately in general.

Sounds like it's in maintenance mode.

People seem into them reshuffling the arcs and doing the Endeavor Agency Arc before the Meta Liberation Army because it makes more sense narratively

But overall it's not like anything actually important has happened outside of Deku getting spiderman web slingers now and that's been reflected in the overall animation it's been of a lower quality than past season.

Of course i wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing that happens with One Piece and the better animators were working on the new movie instead of the anime.

The only good thing about reshuffling is that it saves the best for last, but I think it's a weird choice that only was done for the movie. It takes places during the Endeaver agency arc, and if they had not reshuffled the movie would have come out before they were there.

Was thinking about rewatching Un-Go, but I'm excited to start 2008's Monochrome Factor and try to finish 1991's Oniisama e.../Dear Brother.

Finally sat down to watch Season 2 (what Funi's app calls 3) of PSYCHO-PASS. More criminology professor is nice, but the main villains are kinda weak and the "show don't tell" approach doesn't work. Too much gore and shock value, not enough buildup to make it mean something.

Shimotsuki being a passive aggressive bitch and not ever confronting Tsunemori about their different logic is wasted too.

Oh well. Can't all be winners. Was warned it was not as good and just had to be dumb and watch it.

It has some good ideas at play, but they were only given about half the amount of good stuff. It kinda doesn't help that by the time Season 2 hits, Season 1 already played all the Sibyl System trump cards it could.

From what I understand, a ton of the stuff after season 2 is really good, but I have not seen it. A lot of the stuff ended up going to Amazon afterwards as well and (at the time, not sure about now) didn't make it to any of the major anime apps. Not sure if they just decided not to renew for more since season 2 was so despised.

Psycho-Pass as a brand has basically dissolved I'm the west at this point, and I feel like season 2 is to blame for that. Season 1 was SO GOOD and SO POPULAR at the time.

Oh well. Getting through it will get me another anime to watch. In my "rewatching stuff" phase. After Kino, Mushishi, and PP back to back to back, gonna need something light and dumb.

Probably Chobits for the millionth time, but who knows. If it never gets old, then it works.

On record Araki in 2019 said he "wanted to portray a character with an androgynous image that went beyond the standard definition of gender" so whatever the behind the scenes was Anasui stays a valid ally
