This was the main draw for me. Plus, no matter how good she is at channeling, she's still a little kid, and little kids [generally] enjoy going places and show that they're excited.

That's true, I wonder if he would still volunteer the car if it was not his idea? Then again, depending on his opinion of your car and its cleanliness, he might be trying to maintain his own comfort level. And the control - usually passengers defer to the owner in cases of tunes and climate control. That would really appeal to him.

The question is which culprit would you go on a trip with and be most confident you wouldn't end up dead or in some other sort of danger or trouble.

I feel like Acro is the obvious answer, but maybe I'm forgetting someone.

Well, Acro is the most inoffensive culprit, for sure - but a fair amount of the AA culprits are tied to crimes that are highly personal, or accidental/spur of the moment. You could go on a trip with almost any of them and not die, because they wouldn't be interested in killing you, specifically.

You'd find all sorts of trouble, not only with the culprits, but with a number of the other morally 'good' characters - their personalities are just too big for real life, and someone's bound to get upset with them.

I pick Mimi Miney, as long as we don't drive :D

As long as I keep track of all the essentials and we bring enough food, Gumshoe would be fun. Or Desiree DeLite, provided she brings her own spending money. Although that might be less of a traditional road trip, and more of a joint effort between car and motorcycle?

I'll start off. I would want to want to work for Klavier. Even though every prosecutor seems exacting, he seems like the type to also be enthusiastic and encouraging. That's a good balance for me.

Back in the saddle again

I gotta play more AAI1-3: Kidnapped Turnabout during my lunch, but at least Edgeworth found his first Little Thief contradiction. We did Logic, and updated the scene using Little Thief. The way the crime scene was described, the 'killer' is standing where a stage was set up, before it had been taken down!

We'll have to see where this takes us in a few hours. :D

Discussion question: you need to do a group project for school involving a science experiment - gathering data, analyzing data, and presenting it to the class. You may select 3 AA characters [any alignment or allegiance] to assist you as your 'group', anyone you pick will magically be a willing and able participant. Who do you pick?

AAI1-3: Kidnapped Turnabout

Placing the killer on top of the stage fixed the scenario and completed the investigation.

Lang rolls up and is still stuck on the idea that Meekins did it. Pretty sure that can't be the case because of ballistics and angles and such but WE SHALL SEE. Yup. The killer and victim were switched in our original assessment. Troublingly, it seems that due to footprints BOTH of our players in this scene were wearing Badger costumes :\ Miles suspects that this is a case of kidnappers killing, or attempting to kill, each other.

Lang thanks us in Mandarin, cool. This game is the first appearance iirc of 'Not so fast!' as an exclamation. I love it when new ones pop up :3

Miles' smug sprites in this game are so worth it. Thanks again to @colliding :D

See discussion question from previous post if you like. I would form a team of Dessie DeLite [can run errands, buy supplies with her love of shopping], Vera Misham [we probably need DIY art of some kind], and Will Powers [giving the end presentation]. I can handle the research and experimenting.

Let's see what happens with our Badger-filled crime scene. See you tomorrow!

AAI1-3: Kidnapped Turnabout

Lang is pretty sure it's Meekins' Badgermobile that moved the body, and asserts that it's the only thing that would make 3 tracks. But it's not. The other mascots have their own vehicles, plus there's no mud on the tires of Meekin's vehicle [as there would be, since it was muddy in the post-rain Stadium where the crime supposedly took place].

Lang is all "got me there" but then- the kidnapped Lance suddenly appears, shuffling along and barely able to speak! He's alive, but he's in bad shape. Lang insists that we leave, we try to take Ema along to help investigate further, but Lang is having exactly none of that. We shuffle off back to Wild, Wild West land. That's the save point this time around. We start to talk to Mr Amano and Ms Paups.

See you next week!

Discussion question: Which AA character do you find the most attractive/would you go out with [first instinct, don't think about it too much]? Who would you pick if they were magically morally good?

My first pick would be Mia Fey. But if magically morally good, absolutely Kristoph Gavin.

AAI1-3: Kidnapped Turnabout

We investigate the kidnapper's room because Gumshoe told the boys in blue to let us through. Woohoo!

We find a variety of weird things, including 3 coffee cups, 3 folding chairs, a discard bin for old costumes, and !!! The Proto Badger pops up out of the trapdoor/underground passageway. Kay is overjoyed that she's making progress on her Badger Photo Rally. The Proto Badger is shocked that the Bad Badger costume is missing, as they only use it once a day during the special show for the kids where the good Badgers defeat him.

We find a discarded Bad Badger costume in the bin, with a rip on his right hand - where the Bad Badger's firearm would normally be. "Look out, he's got a nug!"

So perhaps there are more kidnappers than we previously imagined, and the gun is loose, even though it's a model/prop gun that only fires blanks. Gumshoe!! reappears, urging us to go to the Main Gate where a Badger costume has been seen. We rush over there to try to get to the evidence before Lang does his hostile takeover act. No dice. We barely get a look at it before the infamous electric guitar theme starts up.

Turns out the name on the back of the necklace we found inside the neck of the Badger costume is engraved "Lauren D." Hmmm... suspich!

We'll see what this means tomorrow. See you then!

Discussion question: what game are you the most excited about this year [doesn't have to be a new game, just new to you]? Could be a replay of an old fave, could be a pre-order, could be a game that's been in your queue and you're finally able to get to it, could be a speedrun.

This is pretty much it, but a tie would be the House in Fata Morgana by Novectacle, a darkly elegant visual novel.

GAA2-3 introduced a certain new character that wins both of these, but if we're going off of characters you've seen, first character that popped into mind was Desiree Delite as hottest, but character I would go out with changes it to Adrian Andrews, cuz Dessie is way too high-maintenance for me.

I really don't play new games all that often. In fact, I don't play games of any capacity all that often anymore, which is not something I expected to ever happen in my lifetime. I was really only super excited for GAA and Mario Golf Super Rush, and only one of those really lived up to expectations.

AAI1-3: Kidnapped Turnabout

For the love of all that's right in the courtroom, I need Lang to stop.

I've presented everything I can think of that's relevant, and all I get is "Lang Zi says: Miles Edgeworth sucks" :|

I guess I was supposed to present Stolen Costumes. Huh. All righty then. Idk why my brain said we were done with the costumes. Maybe I not-so-secretly wanted to be done with the costumes XD

I now present to you the kidnapper... Lance himself? Got it on the first try after blankly staring at all the profiles for a while. A little less exciting than it usually is.

Lance testifies. Excuuuuse me, princess. He claims the door was locked, so he had to use the underground passageways, extremely unlikely. We still have the now-broken sword that was used to keep the door closed, but it wasn't a serious barrier to exit.

Lang pushes back, saying it's pointless that Lance would stage his own kidnapping. Rich kids get bored, man. You of all people should know that.

We present the Love Letter from Viola at the Tender Lender [shudder... don't remind me]. I guess Lance wanted to get money from dear old dad, but couldn't admit that he already owed so much in debt. Lance claims that he was attacked by Colin/butler Oliver, and that he ran off with the ransom money. I guess Lance and Lauren wore costumes to help themselves move without obstruction.

Goodness, I hate this. If the Bad Badger head was found in the isolation room, how could Lauren claim to have seen the Bad Badger... this is so annoying. Don't play AA when you're PMSing, y'all. It's a bad time.

I will revisit this tomorrow. Hopefully we can wrap it up. See you then!
