It's a Mass Effect Andromeda situation. Was it the worst game of that year? Of course not there's so much Steam trash it could kill you. But was it the worst game of that year that mattered? Yeah, pretty much.

Sure, but is it actually bad or is it just bad at adapting the story? Cause I've only seen complaining about the second thing.

As of the most recent episode, people seem to have decided its actually bad, including the people who were wait and see.

Seems like it was a truly terrible episode with bad implications for what's to come.

I have seen some shots and clips and I am not pleased. I really want to catch up just to have an informed opinion, but it truly feels like there's absolutely no point.

Is Promised Neverland even the worst season 2 ever? I haven't seen either season, but if it's even more disappointing then all the other bad sequels out there then I could see it why people would call the worst anime ever.

Cut out one of the most popular arcs.

Cut out all of the most popular post S1 characters, not even just Goldy Pond stuff.

Jump straight to the arc where lots of people lost interest and started dropping the manga?? Like I wasn't one of those people, but that absolutely WAS the vibe as the manga was ongoing.

And it would be one thing if you did so and came out swinging, but I can't find a single person who doesn't think they're handling this part very poorly on its own merit regardless of the jump. The people who didn't even like this part in the first place think they're doing it dirty.

oh I'm not complaining but with how Part 8 has gone as a whole it's still hard to tell if this is actually the final boss arc or not. The enemy stand is definitely worthy of it, but I just don't know yet. There's so much that still needs to be done and if it's not the final boss arc just how much is there really after that.

im watching SK8 and they went to an A&W that was not censored or changed at all. What's the last show where restaurant or store brand was not parodied you can remember? Like I dont really pay attention so i cant think of anything else off the top of my head except Code Geass and Pizza Hut

Bleach filler free rewatch completed. Lost Agent arc better on a rewatch than the initial experience. Brought back a lot of the humor the series had early on and Ichigo actually has some character development for a change. The Shinigami coming in at the end to stunt on the fullbringers is still goofy, but at least those fights are some of the best animated fights the series has done

It's too bad the gotei 13 is cool and popular that the story couldn't find a way to continue without them. Ichigo and the gang were just too shallow.

Well I binged the two seasons of Kakegurui and really enjoyed that and have been enjoying watching/rewatching fate stuff even if all of it wasn't great. I think something... 'compelling'? Nothing slice of life, vague I know. Dubbed preferred as I am writing so I like to keep track of it mostly with the voices.

Goblin Slayer is good though

All these shows have dubs, some great, though I am not 100% on the streaming situation for all of them. Also not sure what of these you've seen, so just throwing it at the wall here.

Steins;Gate - still my #1 anime.

Baccano - one of the best, DEFINITELY not streaming, but if you're DLing then this is A++

Fate/Zero - of all the fate shows this is the absolute must watch

Psycho Pass - Minority Report anime.

Mushishi - this is a lot more down to earth, definitely COMPELLING but not like in a single narrative way, it's primarily episodic stuff

Devilman Crybaby - short, on Netflix, very good time and a much better source of the Despair porn than Goblin Slayer

Don't wanna make this too long, this is a solid few assuming you haven't seen a bunch of them. There's a few others I would reccomend but they either have no dub or a terrible dub (Madoka, From the New World, Kaiji, just to name a few)

Also want to give a shout out to another all time gave Eureka Seven, which also has a great dub and is readily available, but...harder to call it compelling, definitely has its slow parts.

I started the Naruto anime last year, currently at 196 of the original series

It's been a slog, I breezed through 1-136, but this 100 episode stretch of filler has slowed me down considerably

hopefully Shippuden filler isn't this bad if anyone saw all of Shippuden please let me know

I mean its definitely not as bad as Naruto filler hell but that is a very low bar.
