The NRA has been hemorrhaging money but in a "it's being led by grifters like LaPierre who were raiding it for all the money it had" sense. They're declaring bankruptcy because NY was investigating them because they are filed as a nonprofit but very clearly are not behaving like one, plus some tax fraud stuff IIRC and they're trying to take their assets and flee the state.

Nonprofits can't relocate assets out of state while under investigation in NY but by declaring bankruptcy I think they're trying to get around that and take everything out of NY's jurisdiction before the hammer comes down. Hopefully it does not work.

They are absolutely in rough shape and this is just more evidence. Keep in mind they had to do stuff like cancel NRATV and raise membership dues.

They aren't on death's door, but they've been begging for money pretty hard lately and this is just another sign that they're in deep trouble.

gab's worse, it doesn't even have porn on it and for the longest time didn't have images. so you're getting that niche that would ONLY go to /pol/ but hates images or any conversation beyond politics. at this point it's kind of its own category, it's IRC meets /pol/ on a twitter-esque platform.

torba's got some really good ideas behind gab and did for dissenter too, a comments section independent of the site is really cool of an idea with massive legs on it. unfortunately he's also a giant douche who's incapable of capitalizing on his good ideas in meaningful ways. man's obviously a smart and savvy guy to be able to make both of those and have 'em running, but unfortunately he's also only good at having those things up and running.

Seriously though this sort of thing is so sad because there is no punishment that fits the crime. Shes trespassing because the business doesnt want her there without a mask, but in order to execute the arrest, and to book her at the station, more people are going to have to expose themselves to her than otherwise would have. It stinks but I dont have a better solution if shes told to wear a mask or get out and wont do either.
