a whopping 81% of people said they will immediately book a plane ticket and travel around the world once covid is over...which they are hoping by summer as people are anxiously waiting to see loved ones, see the world or just travel again..are you one of those people??

81% of people won't have the money to do that. But if covid is over, why wouldn't you travel if you wanted to?

I will. Easiest way to visit family. Though, they are in the same country. I would visit other places if I could or had a reason to, though. I love flying. Idk why... Just feels good, I guess...

I don't really have anywhere I feel the need to fly right now, and I don't see that changing in the next year or so. Flying sucks, so unless I have a strong desire or need to go somewhere to which I have to fly, I'm in no rush to get on a plane. That's going to be especially true if large numbers of people are looking to fly as soon as possible, since flying is at its worst when planes are overcrowded and there's a serious risk of not being able to find space for my carry-on or even being outright bumped because the flight was oversold.

Every flight can be oversold, but many (particularly to less popular destinations and/or at slower times of the year) aren't. Off-hand, I have no idea what percentage of flights actually are, but it's well below 100%.

Depends a lot on the airline, and often the payment is just a voucher for future flights with that airline. Regardless, the fact that I'll be compensated if I have to wait doesn't make it any less stressful that I might have to do so, particularly where I'm often not in a position where waiting is really an option for me and that means I'm relying on strangers to give up their spots.

Idk the percentage. I just remember them saying that some people won't make a flight and so they overbook a bunch of them... That being said, some less desired places do get overbooked sometimes...

I always hate it because I booked my flight at a specific time for a reason. Especially with my job, I have to take leave. So, I'd rather not waste my leave because they decided to be greedy and overbook a flight...

I remember I almost got removed, too. I was headed back to my current town (one of those less desired places), and my flight was overbooked (even though we had bought our tickets months in advance). So, I almost had to just wait (for something?), but got lucky. One of the guys from work fell asleep on the plane and got lost trying to find where everybody went. So, a spot on the plane opened up. They told my to sit in his seat, which was the first seat on the plane. When I got on, someone was in my seat. So, I just looked for the only empty seat on the plane. After getting seated, they need to remove someone from the plane. We heard the flight attendant say something to the guy in the seat I was suppose to be in, and it sounded like she said my name. I sunk my seat and looked at one of my friends. They removed someone else, then when she passed me, said said, "You're Link Pizza, aren't you?" I nodded and said yes. But didn't get removed. Though, if I did, it would have caused a stink...
