Playing against these evolve and totem shamans is getting me very close to uninstalling and never looking back. Seeing a Shaman go from an empty board on turn 5 to a 6 drop, 4 two drops, and 2 nine drops WHILE clearing my board because of broom is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in Hearthstone.

I don't even think these decks are OP but the design choices are just so far gone from what I want anymore.

Kinda? But honestly a lot of the spells you can tell from what level/what your board state is which one youre picking. Think the best ones are Stormwind/Coins, On the House/Gruul, Divine Shield/Ice Block/Hero Power, and I guess the last one is like, Braggart or divine shield depending on your build

It looks like my problem is the mindset that you should still try to triple into a 5 drop early. The game is so fast now that it seems you should actually be trippling into a 6 drop to get your build online faster. Who knows how you're actually supposed to survive if you're power leveling to 5 though

Nah Tripling for a 5 on turn 6 or 7 is generally worth it, lightfang and Brann are just too good to pass up for the most part, and mama bear, hogger, and nomi could be decent win cons too. Theres enough good tempo minions too like Sneeds, Malganis, Direhorn, and Baron if you miss

Going for a 6 is ok if you have the right setup though

the true secret is to get perks because the gap between the good and mediocre/bad heroes is substantial

If you take a direhorn on turn 7 then you stand no chance in this meta. I'm routinely running into multiple 6 drops on turn 9 and 6 drops are more impactful than they've ever been I think. A single Elistra could mean your enemy takes 20+ damage on turn 8.

I'm going to experiment with playing faster and see how it goes because whatever I'm doing now is not working.

Also I've always had perks so that's a nonfactor.

I have no idea how people are getting these boards so fast. This guy was Omu so he was just power leveling and it still doesn't make any sense to me.

A high rolling Omu can absolutely do that, especially if he went to 6 with the genies

Omu can upgrade on turn 2/5/6/7 and be Tavern 5 after turn 7 without falling significantly behind. This can be improved upon with token starts, etc, but you can generally pretty safely add a unit to your board the same turn you level, and if you can get that to coincide with a triple on turn 6/7 you end up with a tier 5 or 6 discovered unit while you're power levelling. It can get pretty nuts, and if that discovered 6 drop is a Djinn you can highroll the rest from your Djinn drops starting pretty much immediately.

I just played constructed for the first time in ages. I won every single game against a deck that cost (dust wise) the same or less than whatever I was playing. I lost almost every game against decks that cost more. Constructed is shockingly P2W and it's why Arena is the vastly superior game mode.

I agree that the monetization of Hearthstone is shit but the absolute best deck right now like 3000-4000 dust and it only runs like 8-10 new cards (evolve Shaman)

Fair enough, but I don't have a lot of dust and I don't want to use it on a deck where absolutely critical cards will be out of the meta in a couple months. One day I want to play with an actual tier 1 or 2 deck in which I don't have to play the budget version.

I'm in 3rd, my opponent is in 2nd. The person in 1st presumably is facing a ghost.

I win.

Now I'm in 2nd, but the person I beat was not killed so they are in 3rd.

I face that person AGAIN.

And presumably the person in first is facing a ghost AGAIN.

I lose the second time around and take 3rd.

That sounds like the ghost glitch that's been going around. That person who was in 1st place was actually a ghost and if you won that match you actually would have ended up in 2nd place. No idea what triggers it or if it's just a visual bug but there are lots of reports of that happening during this patch.

I think you do not (and you don't get achievements for winning) but I could be wrong.

I had a really good final match earlier where I had a 70% chance to win. Things were looking good and then my game crashed halfway through. Went back in and the stats page shows me at 2nd place so either I auto-lost because of the D/C or I actually lost somehow but it's pretty frustrating to never know.

Battlegrounds is in hard mode for me. When I try to start a game it keeps getting stuck trying to find a lobby at the point where the cancel button is no longer available, so I have to restart the game. And while it always reconnects fine, I've missed hero selection in probably eight of my last ten games.

Do any of you use the windows firewall exploit to get more shopping time? I'm considering setting that up for turns I think will be Brann/Kadgar or Infinite pirate related.

I love when I get 2 Hoggarrs and decide "okay, lets try and go off" only to see 0 more in 40 rolls. I end up having "nice" turns, but then I don't hit the critical mass needed to keep up with the cleave and divine shield comps.

Yeah I just had a game where I managed to get golden Brann pretty early and then proceeded to only roll the 4/4 buff Murloc for literally 6 turns. Primalfin and Bagurgle MIA the entire game.

I still got 3rd place (on a match I should have won) but sometimes the luck is unreal.

If the leak is to be believed, and I don't see why it shouldn't be, you can pay $15 or 2,000 gold and just get the entire mini-set. It won't happen because whales, but I'd like to see something like this for the main sets even if I most likely wouldn't buy it myself.

Not sure what's more impressive, that I still don't have 100 ranked wins with Shaman or Rogue even though I've been playing since the game first came out, or that I'm shattering the pace by still only having four ranked wins with Demon Hunter.

Rally created a token that then has a bunch of coins related to it. The coins are tied to content creators, HS streamers like Wobble, Alliestrasza, and Nicholena have their own and I think Portugal the Man just got one too. No idea if it will stick around and do well, but it's an interesting idea.

I can definitely feel how high roll this meta can be. High roll also means games feel very match-up dependent. 1st game of the tournament I got an early-ish Nomi, then soon after got a Faceless and next roll found another Nomi. That turn I took something like 20 damage and went down to 5 health. Wasn't supposed to take that much, but could also have just died that turn (or the next since I had 5 health) and the golden Nomi would have been worthless. As it was I survived the next turn, then just scaled out of control.

Mini-Set coming on Thursday, 2k gold or $14.99 for the whole set. There are 4 legendaries and 31 normal cards so 66 total cards for 2k gold pretty good value.

Guess it's time to open my hoarded packs since I don't want to accidentally open any of these new cards on Thursday.
