States have a lot more power on forcing electors to vote for their stated candidate, thanks to the Supreme Court, so there should be a significantly lower chance of faithless electors than in 2016 but still a real chance because the rules will vary by state.

It will cause chaos though and I dont see the courts doing anything about it

At this point I have more belief that something can happen in Arizona than Michigan. Apparently most of the remaining vote to be counted is "late early vote" which is early votes received or dropped off after Sunday. Republicans actually outperformed Democrats in AZ on early votes submitted, like in Florida, and notably they made a large comeback the last week. So (1) these "late early" votes could be pretty red, and (2) I'm seeing estimates that there are at least 400k votes to count, and maybe more like 600k.

I assume Trump will ask for a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada, but it's not going to get him anywhere.

I can agree with this. As polling shows (and Florida's ballot initiatives show), if you just give people a straight, up and down vote on stuff, they vote liberal. But unfortunately, the second you tie those policies to a non-Republican, they become evil and that politician faces an uphill battle on the national level.

i do understand this. there's a difference between pointing out the negative aspects of lockdown measures (which is totally understandable) and outright denying that covid is anything to be concerned about (which is what trump has been doing, as i pointed out).
