I hadn't done so four years ago, but that didn't stop me from shaking my head when Harambe got as many votes as he allegedly did. It didn't stop me from shaking my head while in line at the polls because of one woman I saw who came in, sat down, had her daughter stand in line for her, and only sprang up when she saw a bowl of candy that she so thoroughly looted before sitting back down. People will people at the peoplest of times.

I can try to fake hope that we will do better this election than the last, but no, people are hardly better in comparison to back then.

Edit: adding a whole word for clarity's sake.

I doubt he is going to win because bad things will always happen and never go away, but good things will never happen. If they happen, then it's too good to be true, and will be gone right away and replaced with something much worse. I usually expect the worst to avoid the major disappointment that can make me physically ill.

I'll say Trump has a decent chance of winning, but I'm fairly confident he can't win the popular vote.

I do think Biden will win, when there are polls that show him up in Texas (even if that won't have any chance of happening till 2024) I'm not seeing where Trumpsters have this 100% confidence Trump will win to make threads like this.

"False, because we just don't know for sure."

I mean, it is a potential relief, years AFTER we all heard about this, but it doesn't change the fact that we heard about these alleged votes during 2016's election time, or that I shook my head at it. Even untrue, like an Onion article, it's not something I'd readily and actively doubt. Question? Maybe. But not doubt.

I know. I know because nothing has changed. Joe Biden has no hype around him. Nobody is excited to vote for him. You have to have excitement behind your campaign in order to win elections. People are only "excited" to vote for Joe Biden because they think he's going to beat Trump.

Trump is going to trounce his ass.

lol... It's no secret that Joe's faculties are diminishing. There might be other reasons, but for this alone I stand by my opinion that the Democrats made a mistake forcing him upon the whole party when he should have retired and maybe given pointers to the remaining candidates with what wits he had left. But no, it's this guy versus a severe egomaniac stuck in Coocooland. Honestly, established Dems, was Hillary, her lacking popularity, and her Electoral loss not enough to drive the point home on forced candidates?

(And I didn't even get to vote for my preferred candidate because he dropped out and backed Biden before my mail-in ballot was even printed out for shipping.)

No, no one in their right mind, as far as I can tell, is excited for Biden, but a fair majority are excited to vote against Trump. That's sort of one of the major issues with our political landscape.

I can't see it happening, especially during *this* election, but yes, that would be absolutely crazy if that somehow happened. Granted, it's still less likely than both Biden and Trump somehow dying in the next week before the election results are called (or, at least, the would-be winning candidate dying).

This has been a weird election, thanks to the pandemic, and pretty much everyone that wasn't already going to vote for Trump has accepted that big, exciting rallies aren't going to happen this time and everything's going to be a bit more low-key. There's less excitement behind Biden, but there's also open disdain for the idiots who have gone to Trump's pep rallies and gotten excited by him, so I'm not sure excitement is actually going to play as much of a role as it might usually.

I'm not a fan of Trump (wasn't before he ran for office either), but I am dissapointed in republicans as a whole right now as many seem to be trying to block mail in votes, and/or force people to vote in person (putting themselves at risk), and also restricting votes to only count if they are recieved by election day at the post office.

Knowing that though, hopefully most people are just mailing them early, but I guess because of backlog etc, even if they mail them today they may still not get counted.

Also what is up with texas only having one dropbox per county?

Seriously, there are many people out there who are not anti-republican who are not going to be ok with this. I, and many others just want our government to work, and to work together, to stop being so antagonistic and start being constructive.

Blocking the actual voting process? That is not going to win people over. Perhaps democrats are blowing it out of proportion, and it's not really happening, but I'm guessing it is to some degree and things like the one drop off box per country in Texas is real (isn't that actually almost crazy because doesn't Texas usually vote red?).

Kinda don't understand this strategy at all, I wouldn't be surprised if more people vote because of it, cause if you try to keep people from doing something, they are often much more likely to try and do it lol.

Many of whom are minors, and then there's all the non-voters (due to either lack of will or from incarceration) among the US citizens. So it's more of a percentage of a percentage of a percentage, becoming some part considerable and some part outlandish when you really think about things.
