Pretty simple, B8's got an average age of 30 that at least initially developed as a community dedicated to JRPGs and games that would necessitate a FAQ. We're a very specific niche that has held together for nearly 2 decades here. That has nothing to do with being a "true gamer", it's just different demographics to which B8 undeniably skews away from Minecraft relative to that general population overall which sees Minecraft as a very big deal. Hence the different response from us which is easily to be expected. Yeah we have played Minecraft but it wasn't the incredibly formativephenomenon for us that it was for Gen Z particularly, hence the disinterest here. We still got archives of the old days of Minecraft when B8 got involved, you'd have a few topics that would last a page at most, lucky to break 10 posts for the most part. It was just one indie game we played among many. It's far from the first game for Board 8 to be out of step with the broader public.
