Just got to Stormwinds Lair and jesus fucking christ that is too much content / exploration to give you in one go. I've been here 2-3 hours thinking 'I'll just do this little bit before quitting' but then get sidetracked by the thousand fucking chests and Anemo thingys that I feel compelled to get right now otherwise I won't remember where they are

Also I just levelled my world up to 1. I hadn't even tried most of the bosses yet because they were so much higher level than me and now apparently they have powered up. The fuck man

Haha, yeah, it's a big area to more through. Truthfully, it isn't that it's *that* much more than any other segment of the map. It's just very visible and discrete. You can't really see all of Wolvendom or Dadaupa Gorge at once and process that all of this is stuff you "need" to explore. I will tell you that running around the upper rim is not terribly profitable, though, so don't waste time with that.

The world level increase isn't a big deal. The only downside is that it becomes harder to test new characters. Bosses leveling up doesn't change much since mechanically they remain the same. The cubes are not really any tougher as a result. (Stormterror and wolf are harder to fight without getting hit, so yes, packing a bigger punch is relevant there.)

my regular team right there.
Mona i love using and it's largely for exploration. she zips around the map fast, i don't worry about swimming bullshit, just go vroom. her E has a taunt and works REALLY well with Oz/Fischl, i tend to lay the two together and laugh. it's my main tactic for the water mini boss up until the end, where i also throw in Xiangling's burst because that shit utterly crushes.

oh yeah, that team wrecks the electric cube too. Mona + Jean handle it easy and if you're paying attention you can 100% of the time never get trapped inside or hit by the rock paper scissors thing, she is easily fast enough to avoid all 3. even if you mess up on the cage attack, you can still hit him from inside and i've forced it to end early because he's gotta enter his healing phase.

...at which point activate Xiangling's burst and that + Jean's E makes him die before healing once.

neither of their reactions actually hurt it, though, fyi; electrocharged and electric swirl are always electric damage, which it's immune to. you're just killing it via brute force

Got a 5* artifact from my first fight against the wolf :o

Neat, I just found all the Geoculi without referencing any maps. I even found the 1 extra, since it turned out they were both close together west of Wangshu Inn.

And yet despite that I'm still missing a Shrine of Depths.

Anyway I'm basically down to finding the last Liyue Shrine of Depths and two Amenoculi and then I'm done with explorations.

Did you get the one way out in the ocean, on the island? If you're a strong enough explorer to find all the geoculi on your own, I doubt you'd miss that, but it's a place that's out of the way. (There's also one up by the Mondstadt border, and you might have found it before having any keys.)

Nah, I pulled out a map. There was one in Jueyun Karst that was in the tunnels I missed. I figured it was probably something like that since I couldn't see it from up top anywhere.

Hit AR38 and enough Ascension Materials for three characters for when I hit 40. So I think I'm just gonna grind Mora ley lines for now.

Well, now I've gone and done it. I was having no real shortage with mora, but I also hadn't done anything to even attempt to upgrade my artifacts in AGES. Character levels, yep. Weapons, sure. Talents, why not. But artifacts I had left to the wayside. I had some stupid number of 1-3 star artifacts and I just smelted them into a few 4's I had laying around, most of which still aren't very good, because I felt like I was being neglectful.

And before I got to the end, I ran out of money. I sold off all my sigils. I sold the nameless treasure. I was still out of cash. Ugh. Now I feel like I'm going to need to run leylines for a while instead of farming materials and bosses.

These damn mushrooms though. Are there only 3 places that have houses with mushrooms on it? Monstadt, Springvale, and the Wine place (forgot the name)?

Also what how did you build your Mona? Right now the only artifacts that I got for her that are decent are for Elemental Mastery, and I have her using the Mappa Mor. She's really fun though and exploration with her is amazing. She also has a nice butt.

ice isn't that great of an element to usually bring along unless you're specifically trying to go for razor/keqing physical build superconductor shenanigans, at least, and kaeya is at least not amber-tier bad

just so you know, if your normals are imbued with ice, superconduct's phys res down no longer actually helps, cuz you're doing ice elemental damage, not physical. also any physical damage modifiers on razor no longer work too (physical damage modifiers do scale shatter damage afaik, but its a transformation reaction so anything but that and elemental mastery don't scale it)

was curious about a razor+chongyun comp earlier today and simmed it and it was... not very promising, due to this

thematically it seems cool as hell but gameplay mechanics just kinda work against you

works better than splitting your damage types, yeah

still wonky because diluc and razor being on the same time is a conflict of interests (razor has low cooldown E and his Q necessitates he stays on the field to make use of it... but diluc is always the best at staying on the field, so diluc's best friends are characters like fischl or xingqiu with long cooldowns that can cause many reactions while he's out), but you can still make it work

I think I completed the available Geo Archon quest, but I can't be sure because it seems to end right in the middle. If that is it, I guess I can get into more exploration...if not for the new Mona quest.

It's not done yet; the 1.1 patch should finish up the Liyue questline, I think. Until now yes it just stops.

Yeah the mushrooms are super annoying and you've summed up where they're at. Largest concentration is in Monstant but it's very spread out, fastest concentration is in Springdale. Winery doesn't have as much.

I got lucky with rolling Widsith but otherwise the weapon you forged will do. She's not bad with elemental mastery considering how many combos with water exist but will of course enjoy attack, like everyone else. Since I've got Widsith I focused on crits due to an easy increase of damage there and I got some solid artifacts for it to give her >60% crit now, but I'd also focus on things like energy recharge because she can easily spam that Q attack and it does amazing damage when the bubble pops. Also helps for longevity due to the brief invincibility frames gotten, time it right and you'll avoid a nasty hit or two.

Id like it if quests you havent found yet were still displayed on the map somehow. Like I know I have random ones in small village type areas I passed by, but I cant remember exactly where they were. If I get close enough a blue exclamation will pop up, but otherwise Id have no idea where to really look

And they're not guaranteed to drop now either! Learned that when fighting the elites and domains.

On the plus side I still have quests to do. They really gotta make regular battles give way more Exp and mora though. If it wasnt for their material drops they wouldnt even be worth fighting if they werent next to a treasure chest

nothing's ever guaranteed but the drop rate does get noticeably better

world level 4 is also when overworld enemies start dropping artifacts sometimes too

40 is when 5* start popping up, but imo it's worth getting a set or two anyways before then

stuff like viridescent venerer or noblesse can be thrown onto alt teams and they are a pretty big power boost for your team

at 35, 4* pieces are pretty common (about one per run, though sometimes none and sometimes two)
