Yeah I agreed to split the weekend up with her. She'll be here tonight and tomorrow after work we'll go stay at her place so we can be around the kids. I had it great for almost 7 months. I mean the kids are cool but I knew at some point I was going to have to spend more time with them. It's something i'm going to have learn because I have no kids myself and I never hold babies because they freak me out or i'm afraid i'll drop one and it'll be like a pickle jar, scary and messy.

How old are they? Just don't talk down to them and you'll be good for the most part. Kids want to be treated like equals until they don't. lol. I never held babies either but I'm good with kids > 2 years.

I never liked networking at all. Probably has to do with sucking at it in general but I always figured i'd be more into programming or forensics. I enjoyed those two the most. Where i'm at now i'm just stuck doing general IT, I work with all of our software too so I tend to have to get up at 3am sometimes to go in for updates and patches which has me fucking around in the servers also. Overall it's not bad, and keeps me up on technology.

yeah I don't like networking either. Thankfully our company has a network admin to manage that layer. I just made sure all the hardware at the data center stays green and blinky and I'm good. I manage the virtual server infrastructure and storage stuff. Have about 60 Windows servers I manage too but that's about it.

2 things, apparently my daughter is an OG, she keeps pulling one pant leg up and when my wife tells her to pull it down she says "No. Thats my style."

2nd thing my wife's drinking literally just bit her in the ass, I was checking the drinks on her patio chair because I couldn't remember which one was mine and she saw me and said, "I know, i have a problem." This isnt really related but i had a buddy who was a long time drinker and stoner who got engaged and as soon as they were engaged his girl just expected him to stop smoking weed and drink only on the rare occasion she did.

He changed nothing and she got more and more miserable and bitter for months till they broke it off.

It was just so strange. She didnt seemingly have a problem with it at all for years and then it was like you proposed and i accepted so now you will be the person i decide you should.

it was so weird. Like dude has been a stoner half his life and suddenly you dont want him to be. He was never a drinker till we started hanging out and 15 or so years later hes a genuine drunk and i kinda have guilt issues over that just cause he doesnt handle his liquor that well and also will drink before or at work and we were friends for a decade before he would really even drink more than 4 beers and even at that basically only drank with me.

Well shit. I did a giant hike with my dad today then came home and got drunk as fuck.

Now walter is biting the fuck out of my calves which is walter for take me for a walk bitch

but also he escaped his leash the other night when we were out and (2nd or third time) broke the plastic clasp on his harness.

So im like shit i wanna go swim cause canada and the weather is awesome at least through next week. Its a dwindling window for pleasant swimming. But also im not going without buds and even if he probly wont he definitely could slip it again easily.

If theres not a car or an owl hes good but shit. If he gets away imma hate myself.

Never take the chance. I have 5 fucking dogs of varying loyalties. Found my most loyal dog in the middle of the street once howling down the road while the second most loyal was trying to tattle on him. Thankfully the worst one didn't realize the gate was open. I would have lost him for good.

when i was growing up our lab ran off when we were hiking and my dad found her three days later exactly where we had parked.

But he went and searched for her dawn till dusk every day and thank fuck she remembered where we had parked and decided to come back when she was done whatever it was.

Dogs are so fucking great. I respect the hell out of their sheer joy in existing in the world. Theyre dumb and difficult sometimes but theyre so grateful to be alive.

I ended up taking my buds to the dog beach (after putting his harness on and using 7 twist ties to reinforce it) cause he likes it and its fenced off well enough where i can let him off leash and feel comfortable but it was a big mistake for different reasons.

We got within 100 feet and he wouldnt walk anymore. So i was like whatever and carried him in and when i set him down he lost it. Ive never seen him so scared outside. He hates owls, doesnt seem to care when we hear coyotes, and a beaver once scared the shit out of him but usually he just finds a bush or something or sticks
close.... this time all he did was try and climb my leg over and over. He was so scared i had to carry him almost all the way home. And hes still being a big suck.

I didnt hear or see anything but something bad musta been around.

I remember one time my boss called and wanted me to come in within the hour because of this big meeting on this new software. I was like fuck. I came in and I was probably not drunk but not really there. Turns out the meeting had absolutely nothing to do to with me and I just zone out for like 2 hours. I wanted to get the hell outta there so bad.
