alright so i finished watching Legendia's Character Quests arc

... I am so incredibly glad I didn't continue playing all this, the first one with Will was nice and I actually had feels for that ending... Norma story okay but Zamaran is an annoying shit....... then just really down hill from there -- fuck Chloe's chapter, I'd rather the Stingle plot thread to remain unresolved than experience this redemption crap -- and it just made me hate the game more and more. also yeah incredibly glad not to go through all those dungeons in and out of all those damn dungeons

I guess it ended fine with Grune & the finale although the plot with the arc 2 villain Schwartz wanting to turn the world into nothingness in order to end all suffering and grief is just the emptiest villain garbage yet, yeesh... there's no question at all that Legendia's at the bottom of the Tales ranking now.

over the years I think I've probably lightened up on Luke compared to other redemption arc psychos

tho lol in Tales of Crestoria, Luke has a side story chapter where he essentially repeats the same actions of his Abyss role lmao. Basically some aristocrat of his kingdom tells Luke to go on a diplomatic mission to a rival town to kill a monster causing havoc and he's all cocky about this special mission he's doing... when the monster is actually a guardian spirit for the local mountain, and when killed it causes a landslide demolishing the town.

I forget how my Abyss character feelings were... I remember liking Guy but I think largely being disappointed in the cast I didn't feel strongly about. I remember Jade disappointment because of how much people hyped him up before I played it.

my feelings on Guy were like SUPER HIGH my first playthrough up til a certain point i think. Natalia is like the actual hottest Tales character tho... although i've been influenced by that one doujin artist who does nothing but Jade x Natalia...which i don't actually care for as a pairing but damn she looks so hot in those. i don't actually care about Luke or Asch. Tear is ok i guess. Anise is surely bottom three in the entire series.

I really should've made a Tales Hotties Ranking along side the overall characters ranking...

they're probably the few that are actually benefited by the Character Quests because they just become generic whatevers so I'm not really hating on them much more throughout that arc - if I left it at MQ they'd probably both just be in shit

worthless tier is tricky because it really is for people who do nothing....... I guess Solon in there kinda hurts that argument a little but eh CQ-only was enough for me to accept stuffing him in and I just didn't want such a long list of Legendias at the tail end of "eh"
