As interesting as it would be to see the Dems weird plan play out (nominating Biden just so he can step aside and let Harris take over when he wins), it's definitely a move for concern

That, the Dems constantly wasting the Presidents time over the past 4 years, backflipping on issues and crying foul and the promise of not having to pay back taxes during the payroll tax holiday (if he's re-elected) make it an easy choice

This is 100% what would happen. I don't think Biden would last 6 months before his full on mental capacity was gone and they couldn't hide it anymore and he stepped down. (He's too far gone already IMHO and what we are seeing is elder abuse) So the VP pick from the DNC was a VERY crucial one they had to get right. But he backed himself into a corner early on by saying he would pick a female and of color. This really limited their choices of who they could pick. I mean can you really get any more racist and sexist by saying "I'm picking you only because of your sex and skin color and not by the type of person you are."?

Depends on the state. And technically you *could* vote for him in any state with a section for write-ins, but that vote won't be counted if he's not registered or something.

A large part of what put Trump in office in the first place was "Well, anyone is better than Hillary."

Four years from now, are we going to be saying "Well, anyone is better than Biden/Harris", and making this exact same mistake again?

Maybe, just maybe, if people put more than 30 seconds worth of thought into voting and didn't just vote for whatever they consider "the lesser evil", we wouldn't wind up with elections where every choice is the wrong one.

Realistically, what needs to happen is that more focus needs to be put on the primaries, and people need to vote in those with a mind towards candidates that can actually appeal to the larger population and not just the ones who pander to their own constituency best in the short run. But that would actually require an informed voter base willing to turn Netflix off for a few hours to actually research things or act to make their voice heard, and that's way too hard. Certainly harder than occasionally bitching about the President on Twitter.

Sure, it may be too late (again) to do anything other than vote for the "lesser evil" this time around, but failing to understand WHY we keep fucking up means we're never going to STOP fucking up. If people want politics and government to actually improve, they need to stop seeing elections as a team sport where "our team" needs to win and the "other side" are all just mindless, brainless, stupid sheep who are wrong 100% of the time who only exist so we can make fun of them on Internet message boards and score sarcastic "cool" points on Twitter.

Good candidates are boring. That's why they get weeded out early along with the absolute loons.

Granted, Trump had a massive advantage anyway given his high profile and dynamic personality. And 8 years of Obama basically handed the next election to the Republicans.

While I like term limits, you're being absolutely hysterical -- in both senses of the word. If a law was passed repealing presidential term limits, it would be no different from any other law (although it's highly unlikely to happen because both parties like term limits... on the presidency, anyway). And, more broadly, the term limit has only been a thing since the 1950s (ie, it's not a very old concept and certainly not within the founding vision, even if people cite Washington's example).
