Moonstruck Blossom Match 1 is close because I think both songs are amazing to almost equal extents; and i am likely to flip as a result. but I did spend a lot of time thinking about my preference and came to the conclusion i prefer partizans.......and yet i'm voting endeavour. endeavour is hard to judge because its such a recent "new favorite" and it's also grown on me over the course of the contest. partizans is something I'd expect to like more on paper, it does so so many things I love in the same song, part of one of my favorite game soundtracks; but I find myself coming back to endeavour way more Match 2 is "not close" but there's indecision involved for very different reasons. My opinion on Filthy Mind specifically is very...jumpy, not consistent. I like it, but I can never decide whether i like it because I like it or if i just think it's a song that i 'should like because i like that style of song usually'. With moonstruck blossom though, it is never a question that I love the song; no matter what style i'm in the mood for i will find things in it that appeal to me --- time ... Copied to Clipboard!

vs. 8. Idola Phantasy Star Saga - Endeavour Endeavour really really clicked for me on the relisten in a way I don't think it had before. The catchy chorus is actually my least favorite part - I definitely prefer the verses and the sparse beginning. I like Partizans too, though I have a clear preference. - 12. Kirby Triple Deluxe - Moonstruck Blossom vs. 16. Terraria Calamity - The Filthy Mind (Theme of the Hive Mind) I don't love either of these. Bracket B was overall the weakest bracket for me. Moonstruck Blossom favourite part: -partizans: the thick hypersaw bass synth. starting from 0:54, it really kicks it into high gear and it has a blast for the rest of the track. 1:50 into the loop is also very nice, a cool-off before starting the determined final area feel all over again. -endeavour: the WHOLE THING but no seriously I actually really like the shaylee sections. the piano chords into the introduction of the dramatic strings into the trumpets is just a really cool ramp-up, and 4:24 has some nice vocal chords (as opposed to vocal cords) with the percussion coming back in shortly after. -moonstruck blossom: 0:08 to 0:41. just wonderful. what an intro. -the filthy mind: probably the flute part at 0:48!
