I don't think that's legally groping, as he hasn't used his hands to fondle her breasts. I mean I think he's wrong, because as soon as she said that she'd prefer a female officer, he should've went and got a female officer (or brought her into the precinct for a female officer to search).

Its why people stand up for themselves regardless of the severity. this could be justified as just a search, just like asking for ID could be justified as "just asking for papers". They're both quick and technically legal. Doesn't mean the public has to give in.

dude. you know fucking well the reason he did it. he was sucking some sick pleasure out of showing this woman how powerless she and everyone else was to stop this. he deliberately went out of his way to grope her specifically because she asked for a lady cop (because she didn't want to be groped or worse)

at the end of the clip he goes in for another feel...this is after knowing he's on video and with someone in his face. it looked like he did it to be defiant against the guy recording which makes it even worse. almost like a "you gonna yell at me? I'm gonna keep fondling her, keep talking, bitch"...

No, there is:
Stopping someone without cause
Requesting papers without cause
Detaining without cause
Arresting without cause

You could have jumped to any level of that in order to have a discussion, but you instead jumped over to the realm of sexual assault for some loony reason. It's a completely faulty jump in logic.

Researching into facts is not giving the officer the benefit of the doubt, but rather searching for knowledge. If in Austin TX, it turns out that searching for contraband on a human is not acceptable without consent/probable cause and/or that same-sex officer must be the one conducting the search, the officer was morally and legally in the wrong.

If it turns out that what he did was legal, than he was morally wrong and the citizens of Austin can petition to pass a law to make it illegal.

The amount of cops caught on video in recent months committing crimes against citizens is pretty sickening.

Like I've always thought we need to dramatically rethink what role police play in society, but this is some next level stuff.
