I'm contemplating on buying stock splices of Amazon. Is this a good idea?

It's just a fraction of a share. Since it costs so much to own one share, I thought what I could do is just buy splices, and hopefully I still qualify for dividends

I wasn't brave enough to buy LK the day it was announced that the delisting was going through. It plunged from $3 to $1.38 that day, and now, after 2 days on OTC, it's back to $2.33

I know right. I'm kinda kicking myself. I have this $15 worth that shows as +$13.85 and I'm like "man what if I'd put any reasonable amount of money in it"

Tesla was up even more. I almost bought 10 shares last night and would've made back a grand in a day. Wish I'd done it.

Down 11k in AVCT now and who knows where the bottom is if they really don't have anything until August. Don't chase, kids. Still feel like I picked the right stock to do it with, but holding so many bags is certainly not fun.

What's happening in Facebook is a fucking joke
There is a massive boycott against them and it's going to be painful
They dropped 8% on Friday and it was the most justified drop ever

Looks like the market is loving the new jobs report - +4.8 million net jobs created, a new all-time record!

Bought $25k of PRU at $60.83. Hoping the day double drop after the opening rush.

+27% now for CAR. I am seriously thinking about selling after such a big spike up. I put in a limit sell order at $30.40, which is a little under $2 above where it is now.

Not sure why CAR popped so much....I can't find any news that would justify that kind of move, other than the general good news lifting the market. And, the market (and CAR) have faded quite a bit since the first half hour, much like yesterday.

In other news, TLRD broke way lower, to 73 cents, after they missed an interest payment on their bonds. They have a 30 day grace period, but I think bankruptcy is very likely with virus wave 2.....even if it's only a month or 2 more, doubt they can survive it.

We are doomed with AAL, Chris.

I made a quick buck with DKNG. I got into MFA and am a bit down now. I read that stocks historically go up after July fourth weekend so well see.

Well, I lowered my limit sell order to $29.60, but I very much doubt we'll hit that one either today. Guess I'm going to keep holding CAR.

I'm not sure if I like the fact that Trump was bragging about the stock market at his press conference this morning. Last month he did this on the day of the market top!

On the other hand, the market feels very sane today:

Companies with questionable paths to profitability are down even while the market is up. Also, VIX is down today, as it should. Last month on the day of the market top we had the very rare occurrence of the market and VIX both being up.

just bought more GAIN for the solid consistent growth pre covid and the stable dividend. Not sure what people think of it these days but I think it still has potential. 3500 shares now giving me about $300 in dividends each month. Been buying in every so often for about 4 years now and this dip is a decent opportunity after seeing decent upward price movement and dividends.

This is hearsay so far, but the rumor is that LVS and Caesars are thinking about closing down Las Vegas operations again due to the second wave. If they do I don't think MGM and Wynn will be able to stay open without looking like they are endangering guests.

For what it's worth, I logged into Caesars' website and tried to book a reservation for this coming week and it is letting me do so. The rate is showing as comped across all their properties though, so my guess is there aren't a lot of customers right now.

Im hoping for a green day on Monday. I have about $75% of my money tied up in stocks that are all underperforming. Itd be nice to get a quick gain in at least one of them. MFA is probably my most likely one and Im only a little worried about that one. PNC I know will go up over time, so Im not too worried about that one. AAL is a multi-month/year endeavor so yeah.

Catching up on this topic and I am so glad I committed to just holding my airline (and Boeing) stocks for a full year. Stress free days for me!

An IPO, Lemonade, tripled since coming on the market last week. We really need to be paying more attention to IPOs.

So I got in for 1k on SOLO when it was at 3 on Friday. Currently at 4.5 and gaining

I could see this surging like WKHS and getting into the 10s. But it's a bit risky. Just throwing it out there.

I dumped my non theta positions at the start of today because I don't buy green Monday. Sitting on 6k of cash. I had an order placed for a Tesla calendar put spread for 6k but wimped out because it was only a two week spread which is too risky.

Look at those premiums on Tesla options though. They are insane. I would love to make 4k a week

I know the moment I invest in amazon itll go down.

For the third market day in a row, travel stocks opened way up and then cratered as the day went on. Most of my profits for today ended up coming from Uber. The market apparently thinks Uber made a good deal in buying Postmates.
