Any outside chance of BotW 2 coming out this year vanished once the pandemic hit, so Animal Crossing will win by default.

Finished up watching Scrubs. It still has one of the greatest series finales of all time. Not sure what we're going to watch next, but I told her it's her choice since I chose the last couple shows.

I finished season 1 of Mr. Robot last night. The actual ending of the season felt like a bit of a letdown after everything that happened in the last few episodes. I was expecting either some kind of minor resolution or some kind of sharp cliffhanger and it was sort of neither.

Zero Time Dilemma beaten. Oof. Definitely a gigantic step down from VLR, and the only reason I can call it better than 999 is that it didn't make me replay everything (which the 999 remake doesn't, so I'm sure that version of the game is better than ZTD). The cutscene format is really bad. I don't really care that it was used for the twist, especially since the twist was kinda dumb in the first place. I saw that the original plan was to use the same engine as VLR, which would've been much better. The new character designs were bad too - I spent most of the game thinking Junpei and Akane were impostors because their designs were totally different and so were their personalities, but apparently their personalities were just different because they were written by a different writer in this game.

I did enjoy a lot of the game. Jumping around to the different fragments was a cool way to do the game, other than that they ended up backloading a bunch of the twists/development because of it. The decision games were more varied and interesting than the Ambidex game in VLR. Some of the plot twists were definitely neat, and a number of the character interactions were enjoyable. The incinerator was fantastic. I think most of my annoyances were due to inconsistencies with the previous two games, like characters' personalities changing and powers working in strangely different ways. Playing it immediately after VLR probably hurt it a good amount. After beating the game, I saw that some characters had epilogues written, some of which were truly abysmal. I feel like the game would've been great with a few small changes, but instead it's a pretty big disappointment.

Downton Abbey Season 1 Episode 1 complete!

This is the show my wife has chosen. This is a really big cast, so it's going to take me a while to learn names and roles. The chemistry between the characters is pretty solid though. I can tell this is going to be a British show through and through (which isn't a bad thing).

Oh right, I asked my wife who her favorite Scrubs character was, and she chose the Janitor. A strong choice, although Dr. Cox has always been my personal favorite.

Oh right, I was playing Utawarerumono wasn't I? There was actually like a week-and-a-half period directly following my last post on it where I just... never got a chance to play. Combo of real life, powering through F/GO's story since part of that was on a clock for me, and getting headaches and fatigue at the worst possible times.

So I've only been playing again for the past few days so I'm probably not that much further: Our unintentional conquest of the continent continues. First that eastern country ran into Weissmann and got brainwashed into thinking Hakuowlo was his brother-in-law and gotta be honest, part of me was almost hoping that was all true because that would have been quite the twist... though it never made sense really so the real twist is that said brainwashing powers exist. And now we've been dragged into supporting a slave rebellion in another neighboring country because Karulau is OP. In the middle of invading their capital through a secret tunnel when I stopped last. Legit will be somewhat disappointed if we return to Tuskur and Oboro hasn't burned down the capital searching for Yuzuha.

The most compelling current mystery though is definitely Camyu being a vampire. Or really Camyu in general. At face value then the race she and Ulthury belong to become vampires at a certain age or at least start thirsting for blood. ...In which case MAXIMUM SUSPICION on Ulthury for somehow not presenting with this symptom because where the hell is she getting blood from. Thaaaaaaat said I don't trust Ulthury anyway because I am super suspicious of that mediation country and am legit not counting them out as my prime suspects in the brainwashing case. Plus, when Camyu first appears she express surprise that Hakuowlo can see her. It could just be her being goofy but given the later vampire stuff as well as sneaking out to go play with what seemed like souls... I'm not so sure that Ulthury and her attendant aren't just lying about who she is and she's a separate entity entirely. Plus, Ulthury totally knows that Hakuowlo knows Camyu's a vampire but let the matter go without bringing it up. But also Hakuowlo is an idiot for not going to Eruruu or Benawi and going "yo guys is there some urban legend about vampires i should know about"

So yeah!

So after watching Kaguya S2E11 I was kinda in a very rare emotional state where I was just filled with warm, fuzzy feelings that I almost never get so I immediately jettisoned my procrastination on ordering the manga (I've noted in the past that I was totally gonna get it but I am a procrastinator at heart) and it just arrived*~!

Though this Saturday should be the season finale given the one week delay I'm on so I think I'll wait until then to start.

*Except Volume 4 because Amazon was weird and all the other volumes they were like "sure it'll arrive on thursday" but on Volume 4 it was "actually ships in 1-2 days lol." Also Amazon is weird because this all came over in two boxes. One had Volumes 1, 11, 12, and Persona 5 Royal (oh yeah i picked that up too) and the other box had everything else.

Oh geez, Cold Steel 2 Act 2 Part 2. I liberated Roer and now it seems like I missed a huge chunk of map. Because now the game is showing me I can get Zemurian ore from an Ignis Shrine I never did. I never went to the Nortia Highway. I went straight to the mine after getting Angelica in my party and apparently there was a lot down there in that highway. So bummed I don't wanna keep playing right now.

And I didn't go there because I figured that's where I'd go after the whole Reinford business. Didn't think I'd get cutscene airshipped to Angie's dad.

Well there's the road itself and then the fort at the end of it as places you could have gone. Curiously, while you can walk up to the shrine at this point, you can't enter during Act 2 Part 2 because that's where Rean draws the line in wasting time when the plot demands you be elsewhere. The fort itself is a small area in terms of explorable area, you can only explore the outside area where the mech battles happened and a small inn off to the side. That said, counter-intuitively there is a small AP bonus for visiting here prior to the Reinford assault.

I think CS3 is a lot better at helping you keep track of all that stuff so you don't miss out. I found it easier, at least.

@xp1337, not sure if you've found them on your own, but this is the manga the upcoming FGO event is based on. There's a lot of 'chapters' but they're all one page, so they're a quick read, and they're pretty fun IMO!
