I just feel especially dumb because I sold the calendar call yesterday at 3:50 and went huh, I probably shouldnt have done that

but it has a big enough bid ask spread I figured reversing the transaction would cost more than just rolling with it.

that was a 3% of portfolio mistake.

Cut my losses of WFC and XOM and scooped up NKLA for 74.55. Never made a better move.

Green! One of my stocks is finally showing a gain for today (DAL). At this point more than 80% of today's losses are from TLRD. So let's fix that with a run back to $2.40 which it was at yesterday and then on to $4. I mean come on, Hertz ran to north of $5 and they actually filed for bankruptcy while all we have is an article saying unnamed people at TLRD are thinking about it.

I'm proud that we could all bond over TLDR. I'm down almost 20% but feeling unphased. Could reduce my stake in NKLA today at a peak to recoup any potential losses if need be.

My buy order didn't execute for more than a minute this morning. During that time it went from $1.80 to $1.21. Then my order came back as executed at $1.68. I don't understand what happened, maybe my order was executed and it the report was just delayed? I guess I can't complain since I got it at the closing price yesterday and that's what I placed the market order at.

This is why people lose money in the stock market. I always get the urge to buy when its doing well and sell when its doing poorly and have to actively fight it.

Sometimes I do that, sometimes I cut my losses when I see another opportunity.

This is why I'm a fan of placing open orders at a target price when a stock is doing well, so I can take the money and run without thinking about it potentially going back down.

This is true. You wonder why people hold to $20,000 and don't sell and lose it - it's because if they were going to sell and take profits, they would have done it at $10,000. Or $5,000. Or probably $1,000.

Well if I bought NKLA I would have half my shares at 0 investment cost (so basically like 25 free shares) because that's how Lopen rolls.

Could be overnight. If the earnings report shows bankruptcy is not likely it should soar.

Goddammit. My last NKLA shares hit the stop limit. I like setting stop limits when I'm busy, but sometimes they bite me in the ass.

I hope George Zimmer (founder) sold his shares in Men's Wearhouse (TLRD) when the board ousted him. It looks like with the way the stock has dropped since then, his 3.5% stake from back then would be worth more than the whole company is today. Maybe he can buy back control and fire the management who have run it into the ground apparently.

It was at $2.40 yesterday until that Bloomberg article hit with extremely vague news of bankruptcy discussions. Not clear who is playing who, but that article caused the stock to lose a whole dollar.

I dont know. Its suspect that he deleted it, and was also accused of posting the same exact type of thread about other stocks in the past. Seems like he makes bad investments then uses Reddit to get others to invest so that the price rises so he can sell.

Regardless, I bought and sold it twice today for a total gain of $800.

I think I'll gamble with it. Seems like people overreacted to the bankruptcy speculation. Don't really care about the redditor's opinion that much.
