CS2 Man I still don't like Claire. It's like as long as she's an Ironblood I don't feel like I can trust her. It kinda bothers me everyone is so friendly with her. But maybe I'm wrong.

I think it's worth keeping in mind that most of the cast wouldn't have reason to distrust/dislike Ironbloods. They're Erebonian (and Gaius.) Sara (and Jusis kinda) is about the only one who knows enough shit about Osborne to dislike her for that affiliation. But to everyone else she's just a competent reformer who busts up the more ridiculous and egregious corruption from the nobility.

I think part of that is they always want you to think of Claire as this super nice person, but then they have to remind you once in a while that she worked for someone as terrible as Osborne and was undyingly loyal to him for reasons that are hard to comprehend for someone who comes across as such a good person.

Duvalie is an Eden Riegel character (read: tsundere) through and through. I'm not as fond of her as some, but she's entertaining enough.

There's only one Eden Riegel tsundere I can think of and it's not one I'm very familiar with. I think she's usually pretty wholesome.

I just always think of Marie and Duvalie when it comes to her roles. I guess she's played other types of characters, but I just associate her with tsunderes.

Anyway, I think I've reached the last boss of Tropical Freeze unless there's another one after this (please no). It's probably the most fun boss fight in the game, for what it's worth, but man, having to fight the same boss over and over again just wears on you after a while, so I had to take a break!

We flew through season 3 of The Expanse. Man, I had forgotten how good it was, even if it has to cover book 3 at breakneck speed.

I played through Ghost Trick. Super good game. Think I actually liked it more than most Ace Attorney games. The story has incredibly good pacing, and the climaxes in the last few chapters are awesome.

Baldur's Gate 2 beated.

Great game. Definitely among Bioware's best. A lot of cool mechanics (that I mostly gave examples of in my periodic "oh my god that was so cool" stories I would give over the past few weeks) that I wish more games let you do. OTOH, DnD has some straight-up bullshit too. Instant Kill spells (if you fail a saving throw, or in the case of Imprisonment, nope no saving throw hope you have some way to grant immunity to Abjuration school magic or you just die) combined with "if the MC dies you game over" is some Persona Hama/Mudo horror level only worse in my experience. Protection from Magical Weapons is such a BS spell too. >_>

Still! You can usually prep around things like that and towards the end your party is at such high levels you can do some hilarious stuff, like spam Time Stop and just go full DIO on guys or cast like 6 spells in frozen time and watch them all go off at once when it resumes and laugh.

Cast was a lot of fun and some of the story beats were just great.

Utawarerumono next, I think.

F/GO: I guess my using apples during the first half of the event to clear missions put me a bit ahead of schedule here as I was able to finish up with the shop and thus everything the event had to offer a day early. So it was back to Agartha to face my nemesis. Who got rekt. Atalante Alter the real mvp. Had to use Command Seals but I figured that would be the case. The next round where the Guts expires after 10 turns was a lot easier since he also came with a sane HP total this time. Ran the exact same strategy and actually depleted his HP on turn 3 (and would have Turn 2 if Atalante landed a 50% crit) and went out of my way to limit my damage on the "second" HP gauge so I could finish it after the Guts expiration rather than have to run it down a third time.

Started the very beginning of Shimousa after that.
