Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen get. Weirdly though, despite having a pre-order on Amazon from last year (I want to say Day 1 of pre-orders going up) they just... never shipped. I waited a week after release because, I mean, it's a game it's totally non-essential so if it wasn't exactly high on Amazon's priority list for shipping out that's understandable. After a week though I reached out just to see if I could see if there was something else going on and the rep seemed to share my suspicion that they simply never got it in, not for me but for anyone. So I had to go order it elsewhere.

Utawarerumono will almost definitely be what I play next I think though I still need to finish Baldur's Gate 2. Last time I played I did finish the base game and moved on to the expansion but I don't know how much more is left. If it's similar to BG1 and its expansion then the latter is a lot shorter than the former but idk.

I decided to play Tropical Freeze for the first time in a while and it took me a long time just to beat the first friggin' level.

And this is why it lost to DMC5.

I was going to resume playing that recently, but I was derailed by my Wii U having been unplugged so I was out of gamepad charge

Aw yes more people playing Utawarerumono. Though, it's only Mask of Truth when I start veering into best game ever territory, but still. Mask of Deception as well as the anime adaptation for the original game were both very good.

(Note: Do not watch the anime adaptation of Mask of Deception under any circumstances, or so I'm told)

Cold Steel 2 started. Incest right off the bat. From the artwork, everyone's new look is pretty dope. I loaded my Alisa clear file from CS1 btw.

Yeah, everyone getting unique outfits in CS2 is a welcome addition. It makes sense why they wouldn't in CS1 but still.

For anyone that was keeping up with the series before beating Cold Steel 1, did the stuff Vita Clotilde mentioned mean anything to you or was it gibberish? Like the Phantasm whatever and Orpheus thingy. And was the Azure Abyss a name that had popped up before?

Trails: Yeah. The Orpheus Final Plan is Ouroboros's ultimate goal and it's known that Phantasmal Blaze is the second stage to its fulfillment. The first stage was covered in Trails in the Sky. It is not known to the players what exactly those are meant to accomplish beyond knowing they exist and probably involve the Sept-Terrions based on the first stage (the Gospel Plan).

The BOP's tiebreaker is intentionally set to 2147483647 so it was always going to be last for tiebreaker.

As you can see on the leaderboard, I came in 7th but won no prizes.

That was because I dont live in North America but I am from Europe so I could only enter a fun bracket.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze World 5 beated! I think my issue with the bosses in this game is that you're almost guaranteed to die multiple times figuring out the boss patterns in each phase, and the game only gives you a very brief window to actually hit the boss while it's in the middle of those patterns (which gradually get longer and longer), so it just takes way too long to actually beat the boss. The original DKC games would have bosses change their patterns and stuff, but it wouldn't be quite this drawn out.

Seems like World 6 is the last one by the looks of the map. Not sure how much effort I'll go back after beating the last boss to collect puzzle pieces and KONG letters, but I'd like to go back and unlock all the levels I didn't get. Unfortunately, there's literally only one guide for the game here and it's not very user friendly.

Seeing as the last missing piece is almost done being translated, Im seriously considering playing the entire Trails series from the beginning after Im done with Xenoblade 1 & 2.

I don't think Nier Remaster has a release date, but it was announced for the the 10th Anniversary, which would be this year, so it should be this year?

Yes, Bravely Second was a direct sequel to Bravely Default. But, they called the new game Bravely Default 2 anyways. They probably have a reason for that.
