Is Mass Effect 2 in trouble next round? Fallout 4 is looking like a monster.

Against a weak indie game that is probably getting a bunch of joe votes for its name. I doubt many people have even played VVVVVV.

VVVVVV is arguably 2nd weakest game so far this bracket ahead of Fortnite.

Oh, and the Walking Dead-Bastion match ranked in on another list besides "closest wire-to-wire". Apparently we still haven't reached the point where there have been 25 Round 1 matches that 2 in 3 brackets had wrong; Bastion's 33.31% prediction rate was good enough to sneak onto the list at #24.

Its not really fresh. Its a carbon copy of the DS CV games and another Metroidvania alongside a shit ton of Metroidvanias over the past 5 years.

In terms of how good they are....i would put bloodtained well below games like Axiom Verge, Hollow Knight and even the new Ori game.

Bloodstained is a very good game. But its not SOTN or even close to being some classic either. I'd put some of the DS/GBA CV games ahead of it too.

Pre-contest, I would've taken Bastion over VVVVVV in a heartbeat. The former is considered just as much of a classic and is much closer to the kind of game that GameFAQs likes than VVVVVV is. I was actually pretty surprised when people started hyping up VVVVVV in the leadup to today's match but figured they knew something I didn't.

I don't think HK would beat FO4. Far from it. FO4 would beat most indies except Undertale. I'm just saying we shouldn't be calling FO4 a monster based on 70% against a random indie title when you have games like Horizon and DQ racking up nearly 80%+ against games of probably similar strength. Of course although i think DQXI would soundly beat FO4 not sure Horizon is as strong as people think either.

Oh, I'm saying the same thing, but I'm also warning people to be cautious of expecting every indie game to look great because two weak games lost to them.

Well that depends entirely on well DQXI does against BOTW. Also we could have ME2 blowing FO4 and then getting trashed by BOTW harder than DQXI. And DQXI for me is going to do a higher % on BOTW than any game in this current division be it FE, RE2 or ME2.

I love Trails SC (it's one of my top ten favorites), but it's just not accessible to the average gamer. It didn't become widely available in English until well after its original release.

a lot of these games aren't. Trails SC is about as accessible as FE3Houses

Difference is one is a well known franchise and on a popular platform. if Trails was on Switch it would be way more popular.

It's not like TWD was much of a juggernaut in its previous appearances. All Bastion really needed to do was not suck too bad, and that's what it did.

Now is probably a good time to once again mention that Destiny ranked higher than TWD in the 2015 X-Stats. Bastion is super weak. That just happened to still be enough to beat TWD.
