Occasionally. Family Dollar and Dollar General are misnamed, anyway, much more expensive than everything-for-a-dollar stores like Dollar Tree.

I'll go to an everything-for-a-dollar store every few months and pick up household stuff like cleanser and deodorant, and classroom supplies like posterboard, markers, and so on.

Almost daily since theres one across the street from my job.

I use to go more when I was younger her because my grandma would go to the one nearby and I would go with her. These days, its rare. There was one around the corner, and I dont know if it was remodeled or change to a different dollar store, but it looks newer. And my roommate works at one these days, as well. So, theres that. I dont go super often, but occasionally...

At least once a week. Dollar Tree has pretty big loaves of bread for $1, and a lot of other good deals.

I go there for baking pan, utensils, napkins, and snacks. Family Dollar is a trap though, Dollar Tree is an actual dollar store.

like 4-5x a week. there is one right next to where i work so i go there once a day for something to eat usually.

99 cent only stores.......yet they have items over 99 cents. False advertising.

Only sometimes. When it's okay for the item to be a dollar, I really dig those stores. They are the best for cheap decorations.

I almost never go to a literal 99 cent/$1 store. Not that I despise them but not really any super conveniently located.

But yeah as far as Dollar General type places, probably at least once a week but most likely more. They are everywhere and have decent prices more or less. So instead of going to the supermarket 3 blocks away and having to pay higher prices if I just need a simple item or two I can go to the DG two blocks away. It's a good "run in and get something quick!" place when you have kids.

Also I travel between a few different locations for work and a couple of them have a DG practically next door, so I'll run in and get a snack or drink once in a while.

Me and my wife frequent Dollar Tree once every couple of weeks or so and Dollar General at least weekly.

This topic reminded me, so I stopped at Dollar Tree. Deodorant, three 5-packs of disposable razors, two bags of Corn Nuts, one bag of popcorn, a laser pointer, a putty knife, a set of Allen keys, a USB cable, two boxes of envelopes, a 6-pack of mechanical pencils, a pack of painter's dust masks, a pack of wire brushes. $16 plus tax.

For comparison, also stopped at True Value Hardware: snap-ring pliers and a pack of electrical tape: $13 plus tax, still a good deal but not three sacks of stuff like Dollar Tree.

BTW: was surprised to find dust masks, I've been reading that they are sold out at drug, variety, and hardware stores because people think they can protect against the flu. Flu, no; protection from breathing sanding dust, yes.

They opened a Dollar General in a nearby small town so I went in there to see what they had and I walked right back out the door when I saw they were selling milk for $4.50 a gallon.

There is a local dollar store in my neighborhood that is a good source for the cleaning supplies I use for work, among other things, so I go there frequently. Every so often, I also go to Dollar Tree or Dollar General, though both of those tend to be in disrepair around here.

Occasionally, for cheap DVDs/BRs, candy, and chapsticks (which I started using because places stopped carrying my previous brand and, despite finding it mediocre at first, wound up preferring it to the other kind over time).

Yeah, they aren't dollar stores.

My favorite is the '99 cents only stores'.
But it's also funny because they do have higher priced things and their name is a lie.
But I've seen watermelons in them for 99 cents, so they are cool with me and their lies.

I voted "occasionally", but it's primarily just around certain holidays. For Christmas, all my wrapping paper/bags/ribbon/etc. come from the Dollar Tree because they're cheap and get the job done. This last Halloween, I also bought a pair of socks there because they were the right length and color for my costume and, again, it was cheaper to buy there than to buy elsewhere. I don't really get much else from them, though the ones in the mall may be a quick way of getting an energy drink or snack every now and then.

This for me. I get products from dollars stores that I am not concern with the quality of (i.e. bleach)

I like the 4 rolls of toilet paper for a dollar. I also go there for dishes, cups, utensils, etc.
