In fact, one of the groups that condemned it, the American Jewish Committee, was called out by other Jewish groups/rabbis/etc. for treating the President with kid gloves in their condemnation, compared to how fiercely they came out against liberals previously. Even though they're a conservative group, and got called out for it showing in their response, they still condemned his words.

Even more conservative groups saw his comments the same way.

i'm glad you acknowledge it exists on both sides but it just seems weird to focus on the left when on the right there's a fucking entire (relatively) new school of thought known for its antisemitic tendencies - the alt-right - with their poster boy now being the president of the united states. i seriously don't get how you can look at that and go "gee, the thing that's REALLY concerning and deserving of attention right now is the rise of antisemitism on the left!" like, has there even been a rise? antisemitism on the left has always existed, i see no reason to assume it's gotten particularly worse in the past several years.

Trump shares a lot in common with the alt-right but they've largely moved past him because he isn't as extreme (see: groypers, CNN inviting Richard Spencer on to talk about how Trump isnt racist enough for him). A lot of the alt-right supports him anyways.

It's kind of splitting hairs though. Trump embodies a lot of the things the alt-right supports but for his own personal reasons.
