Yeah that meta is completely dead now, you could probably go 10 games without running into someone running a Murloc end game. They don't have the stats to compete now that the health buffer is on tier 4 instead of tier 3

I'm currently 5-0 against 2/5 Rogue.

Two of those games were Whizbang decks where my opponent had the nuts but I still won both games easily.

One of those games I got lucky as he played his 2/5 and forgot that it was a combo card.

Two of those games, just now, were with a deck I was playing consisting of nothing but 30 beasts to complete quests, where my opponent had the nuts and I won both again.

I haven't even lost to it yet, even with the trash deck I was just playing, and I still hate it.

I have decided I'm going to play Control Highlander Shaman which may or may not include Quest and/or Galakrond.

I have no idea what my list will consist of, but I'm determined to make this work.

Several variants of this have been pretty good in wild.

In standard...my guess is that quest would work better than Galk. (There's a lot more battlecry cards than galk cards, so it's easier to make substitutions). Although, the top shaman highlander deck I found on HSReplay just ran both.

Flawless victory (40 hp remaining) with Vancleef. Up to 6800 mmr . I think that was my first round taking zero damage but I'm not 100% sure.

Hey I've been hovering around 6800 MMR myself lately! I keep trying to force beasts/demons and then getting fucked. I've been trying more to transition during the mid game but it's so hard when it feels like you're basically starting over on the 7th or 8th turn.

Every time I play against Quest Priest I just don't attack them for like 5 turns and it's like they never accounted for that variable and have no idea what to do. It's hilarious.

I will often not play my quest on 1 and sometimes I'll get my opponents to start hitting me. And then after 2 damage to my face they feel committed and hit more so I can easily heal for 15.

Rule of thumb has always been not to touch Priest for the first few turns though

Also if you told me there was going to be a YouTube video of Trump going on a date with a pornstar (because there is one now) I would not have imagined it was part of the wholesome timeline

My rule of thumb against Quest Priest, at least at my trash rank, is to not attack them until I can do ~20 damage to them in a turn, and sometimes not even then. It's resulted in at least half of the games going to fatigue with them still not completing the quest. Though probably not most peoples idea of a fun game, I imagine.

I think the one thing that always confuses me is trash rank Quest Priest players refuse to heal my face or my own minions under literally any circumstances.

It's all just a meme though, they basically cycle through the same 10 males and females every week and just "play" the game show for the content. You have 1 male/female and 10 of the opposite sex and the 1 person eventually picks 1 winner after like 4 hours of screaming and nonsense. The same males and females have been "picked" on like 4 different occasions so it doesn't actually mean anything, Mia has just been trying to get into the Twitch memes and Trump has always been part of the "hot girls love me" meme so they used it to their advantage.

Source: I watch like 6 hours of Twitch a day with almost none of it being of actual people playing games.

The holiday cheer is real. I won a few games in a row to get me within 2 games of rank 5 and then got two instant concedes from people already there allowing me to reach my goal for the month. Good stuff.

So I had a quest to play a pair of battlegrounds games, and I was told that the 'giant murloc army with poison and divine shield across the board' meta was gone. I've been lied to.

It's significantly less likely now that you can't supplement it with amalgams so you don't have an easy way to incorporate taunt/divine shield until you can pull a rank 6 megasaur. But that doesn't stop people for going for the dream.

I was at 7250 MMR for Battlegrounds and now I'm at 6600. Really don't know what happened there lol

Really don't know what I'm doing wrong in Battlegrounds now. There weren't any balance changes or anything but it seems like everyone either has giant beasts or giant demons by turn 6 now. Don't think I've finished top 4 in my last 15 games.

Battlegrounds you have to commit to something early and pray to highroll.

You can't Jack of all Trades or pivot anymore.

Big early or die trying.

I think that's becoming more true if you want first. But if you are just aiming for top 4 i think the slow and steady approach will yield more consistent results.

Galakrond Shaymin gonna get it again.

Looks like DR Rogue and Pirate Warrior on the block this time too. Shame, I do enjoy Apothecary into Strainer and/or Whelp, but even I will admit Apothecary is a bit much (not as broke back as the 8/8s with rush, but still...).

This is good, imo. I like a more active balancing approach rather what Team 5 has typically shown; the wait and see, hope something actually counters something else approach.

I can see the downside, for f2pers as well, who may have blown their (dust) load on a deck and Team 5 nerfs around the problem cards and they get a pittance in dust back. But, I'd prefer a more active (frequent) balance approach, and it seems like that's the course they're on, atm at least.

Oh neat, I have a golden Ancharr

Golden Soul Juggler buff is pretty huge, as is Selfless Hero

Think most of the Galakrond decks are the real suspects here so pretty decent nerf choices (was Warlock better than I realized?)

That Scion nerf doesn't hurt Galakrond Warrior all that much, which is technically the top deck as far as hsreplay is concerned. I've been using it since the Shaman nerfs and it's been very successful.

I crafted and used Ancharr like 3 times so I'm glad to get my dust back.

Every Shaman invoke card has been nerfed, plus others in the OG deck like Faceless.

Do they even have playtesters?
