Just had a game as Deathwing where every opponent of mine had a rat pack and I did not...and every fight ended with popping the rat pack. I was out before hitting 10 gold.

Tbh rat pack is probably the best two star regardless of deathwing

good synergy with other strong 2s (Spawn/Zoobot) and really good mid and late game potential with pack leader and mama bear, getting it goldens probably even better

Oh, I get that. But I've never seen a Deathwing player crash and burn quite so hard. It was like the entire lobby was conspiring against me rather than playing their own game.

Not sure if I buy into the prediction that Northshire is getting rotated. Sure she's basically auto-include in every priest deck but is she really overpowered or limiting design choices? You might as well remove cards like eviscerate and explosive trap (and about 20 more) if we're looking at balanced auto-include cards now.

Malygos and Nozdormu are two I've been hoping to see for years now, though I'd prefer Nozdormu to just get changed since it's probably even fuckier in wild. Whenever that card pops up there's about a 1/3 chance I'm just never getting another turn.

At numerous times in the past people have combined nozdormu with unavoidable animations to literally steal an opponents turn while they wait for animations to resolve.

As far as I knew those interactions have all been fixed at this point, but I don't know for sure.

Yeah, I was definitely clamouring for Priest to have a real board clear so they wouln't need to print one every year...but...at like...6 mana.

That monster of a card costs 4 mana. That bad boy is going to rock the wild metagame o_O

Like...I remember when Mass Hysteria came out and people whined that it wasn't Psychic Scream. Fast forward to now and Mass Hysteria is in more wild decks than scream cause wild is fast and Mass Hysteria costs 5.

This absolute unit of a board clear costs 4.

iirc the first big nozdormu issue was with the Joust mechanic from The Grand Tournament. Play Noz. Drop the 1 mana Joust card and immediately end turn. Your opponent would be lucky if they could scramble an action if they got any time at all. Repeat.

Like the average aggro deck is just gonna be like "whatever that card's not gonna touch most of my stuff anyway"

Hits any mech that's magnetized above 5 attack from mech paladin. Hits a lot in Even Shaman. Hits 4 mana 7/7 (and the new 4 mana 5/7 spell damage). Hits various 0 mana 5/5s. Hits Sea Giant. Hits anything drawn by warrior galakrond (and they tend to run various 5 attack minions anyway). Hits mountain giant, not that Even lock is very good right now.

I dunnno, having a 5/5 or 7/7 or 8/8 around turn 3-4 is kind-of a thing that a lot of decks do in wild.

2nd place with Lich Bazhial feels good!

Managed to stabilize exactly when I needed to and ended up losing 1st in a coinflip to AFK.
