Idk how much production hates Chris's win when they just used his "risk" to go against Devins for an example.

I think they wanted to shock factor and that's why they didn't edit Chris that well early on, Chris said in his RHAP interview they asked him to be low key on social media too

Seems to me like it's a Ghost Island style double boot, and not two cycles condensed into one hour. They can just cut the reward challenge to accommodate the needed runtime.

So I watched last weeks episode

wow.

Some very strange things going on there. The weirdest to me is that somehow the ending attitude among the tribe somehow ended up being "Dan didn't do anything wrong or even weird".

I saw vague comments about it throughout the week since then but I've avoided reading any of it, will be really interesting going through all the reactions people have had to it.

Yeah I rewatched last week's 2 hours earlier today and I think the thing that threw me off is, in the first tribal council they didn't mention any of the drama AT ALL. And then it dominated the 2nd tribal.

At this point I don't even know if there were some discussions in that first tribal but was edited in such a way to cut them out, or if it really wasn't discussed at all, which I guess would make sense if they think they're going for a blindside to not put a target on him (or themselves for bringing it up)

Thinking there's a good chance none of that even gets referenced ever again, like, editors just leaving any mention of it on the cutting room floor going forward. Except you can't really edit out references to it from the final tribal assuming any of the key players make it there... eh, I guess we'll see.

Janet: I thought of quitting for a second, but I could never do that.

Elizabeth: Last night sucked, but that's what I signed up for.
