It's more the sheer volume of it and the way people who hate the movie express themselves. Like:

-Acting like the movie sucks for reasons that most people won't care about or pick up on
-Calling critics "paid" or "shills" for liking the movie as if critics HAVE to agree with fans
-Acting like the new films are "attacking our mythology", wow, no one says that about additions to the stories of Casablanca and Gone with the Wind, what's so different about Star Wars?
-Acting like TLJ alone is to blame for the franchise's decline when that makes no sense - e.g. there are other reasons Solo flopped
-Generally acting like Star Wars is only for them rather than being a global phenomenon from the very beginning
-Making some criticisms that just plain carry undertones of bigotry
-Acting like Kathleen Kennedy is some meddlesome freak when if anything, her biggest mistake in running Lucasfilm has been just letting everyone do whatever.

I wish the ST would do a better job of showing instead of telling. Characters keep telling you this and that and the content never shows you any reason to even believe what theyre saying.

Nah, it sounds good with a few questionable elements which will likely be better within context. Abrams is great at sparking emotional resonance. None of that is going to be visible in Paxis rough synopsis.

Holy hell, this actually sounds... pretty dope.

There are a few things that I'm sure will make me cringe or roll my eyes, but it looks like there's gonna be some dope action and a lot of interaction between my favorite character dynamic through the new trilogy.

I am a lot more pumped for this than I ever thought I would be. May see it day one now.

I skipped the plot stuff and just read the character details bit and was thrilled to see something like Nien Nunb has a larger role in this one

Youll probably be okay for the most part. A lot of this crept out from MakingStarWars and r/starwarsleaks months ago and honestly people who doubted the authenticity were ignoring past track records. The new trailer confirmed the leaks but they were already very much legit. I think youll bump into stuff a bit more frequently now but for what its worth TFAs broad plot strokes were known fairly early too and I successfully evaded almost everything despite keeping a close bead on all things Star Wars.

Some of the comics have been knocking it out of the park too and surprisingly (to me anyway, maybe I was naive) Fallen Order is previewing really well.

Fallen Order is starting to give me hope that Disney actually successfully reigned in EA causing them to sit back and let the developer just make their damn game.

Got tickets right after the trailer, yeah. I usually want to go the first showing on the first possible day but this time I'm waiting until Friday. Thursday night/Friday is definitely gonna be a day to avoid talking to anyone. Work from home type of day. oh man I'm hyped.
