i expected differently because sanders clearly isn't getting the nomination so i don't see what the endgame is politically from explicitly choosing him over warren

Somehow I repeatedly stressed I was examining it from a cold political standpoint and that I wasn't surprised she would make that choice from a policy standpoint yet that was still missed.

She preserves legitimacy for her movement. She remains free of the HRC taint that will forever hang over Warren like a cloud.

This is massive for Biden and Biden alone. The only one stopping him from taking the nomination is Warren, and if she can't get the majority of the crazy woman vote then she's not going to win.

Warren's gotten frontrunner status without picking fights with Bernie, they've done very well co-existing and working together to promote their shared causes. So long as CNN keep propping up moderates against them there's no urgency to go for each other

And then presumably the Warren and Sanders delegates will support the one of them with more delegates at the convention, giving that person a majority.
